Gulabi Kantha, also known as the "Pink Colored Ridge," is a mesmerizing trekking
destination in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India. Here's a brief overview of
this scenic trek It is located in the Govind Pashu Vihar National Park and Sanctuary,
nestled amidst the Garhwal Himalayas. The trek begins from Sankri, a picturesque
village known for its natural beauty and traditional architecture.
Trekking Experience:
The Gulabi Kantha trek is a moderate-level trek, making it suitable for both novice and
experienced trekkers. The trail takes you through dense forests, alpine meadows, and
charming hamlets, offering a diverse range of landscapes. Trekkers can witness a
burst of pink flowers, especially rhododendrons, during the spring season, adding to
the trek's allure.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Day 1:Delhi - Dehradun

  In the night take an AC train/AC Volvo for Dehradun by 22:30 hrs. Overnight Journey.
• Day 2 : Day 2- Dehradun to Hanuman Chatti Base Camp (165 kms/6-7 hrs)

  Arrival at Dehradun by morning and from here meet our driver and we will start our journey from Dehradun railway station/Bus station. After 6-7-hour drive from the meeting point, we will reach our base camp- Hanuman Chatti. After reaching the base camp, you’ll be briefed about the trek and other logistics. Nothing is better than starting your trip with Bonfire and
  some organic dinner.
• Day 3 : Day 3: Hanuman Chatti - Seema Thatch 10km, 5-6 hour

  Today we’ll start our journey from the base camp to Seema Thatch at 8:00 am. During this 10 km trek, you’ll be served lunch at 2:00 pm in Kandola . We’ll be reaching Seema Thatch at 4:00 pm and call it a day by helping you check-in in your respective tents. In the evening, whilst you enjoy the gorgeous sunset, tea and snacks will be served. At 7:00 pm, under the stars you can enjoy your dinner with bonfire.

• Day 4 : Day 4:Seema Thatch - Gulabi Kantha and back 5km one side (4 - 5 hour)

  The main day has finally arrived. Today we’ll trek from Seema Thatch to Gulabi Kantha.
  Before we start the trek, you would not want to miss the sunrise at 5:30am. At 7:00 am we will have breakfast and start moving towards Gulabi Kantha (expected to reach by 8:00 am), a 5 km trek. After 4-5 hours we will reach the destination and at 1:00 pm packed lunch will be served. After the lunch, you can enjoy the beauty of nature by wandering in those lush green meadows and adore the panoramic 360 degree view of the snow covered mountains like Bandarpunch peak, Shivalik Mountains, Kalindi Srikala and Chaukhamba peak. After having a tea break here, we’ll move back to Seema Thatch camp are. There, at 7:00 pm, dinner will be served with local wine or a drink and have some music partnered with bonfire.

• Day 5 : Day 5: Seema Thatch - Hanuman Chatti 10km (7 to 8 hour)

  After having some breakfast, we will move towards Hanuman Chatti by doing a 10 km trek.
  On reaching Kandola at 1:00 pm, lunch will be served. We’ll reach Hanuman Chatti base camp by 4:00 pm. After doing a 7-8 hours trek, you will need some rest. While we call it a day there, you can share your experiences with other members of the group. At 7:00 pm dinner will be served which we’ll enjoy with music along with bonfire.

• Day 6 : Day 6 -Hanuman Chatti – Dehradun – Delhi

  On day 5, we will return to the beautiful capital of Uttrakhand. We’ll leave at noon and by covering a 5-6 hour’s drive, we’ll reach Dehradun by evening and from here catch AC Train/AC Volvo for Delhi. Arrival at Delhi by 11:30 hrs.
