Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Ahmedabad - Drive to Gir National Park

  Arrive Ahmedabad - Drive to Gir National Park - Lunch / Dinner at Gir Resort / Hotel.

• Day 2 : At Gir

  Morning / Afternoon Safari in Gir National Park - A tapestry of dry deciduous forests, acacia scrub and grassland, fed by rivers and reservoirs, Gir is the last abode of the Asiatic lion and has a thriving population of panther (leopard), sambar, chital (spotted deer), nilgai (blue bull antelope) and wild boar. Gir is also one of the major habitats of chousingha (the world鈥檚 only four-horned antelope) and chinkara (Indian gazelle) that are hard to spot in the teak forests along the game drive trails. Among the many birds of Gir, changeable hawk eagle, crested serpent eagle, Bonneli鈥檚 eagle, shaheen peregrene falcon, laggar falcon, shikra, painted sandgrouse, quails, black-hooded and golden oriels, marshall鈥檚 and common iora, Asian paradise flycatcher, tickell鈥檚 blue, red-throated, verditer and Asian brown flycatchers, yellow-crowned, brown-capped pygmy, black-rumped flameback woodpeckers, green and blue-cheeked bee-eaters, coppersmith barbet, common, lesser pied and white-throated kingfisher, blossom-headed parakeet, hoopoe, black, ashy and white-bellied drongos, rufous treepie, large cuckoo shrike, small minivet, red-vented and white-eared bulbul, tawny-bellied, yellow-eyed, jungle and large grey babblers, grey-breasted, ashy, rufous-fronted, plain, jungle and graceful prinias, zitting cisticola, clamorous reed-warbler, booted warbler, greenish warbler, lesser and Hume鈥檚 warbler, orphean warbler and blyth鈥檚 reed warbler, are among the many birds that could be seen here. Those interested in herpetology can visit the crocodile breeding farm at Sasan. Your meals will be at Gir Resort / Hotel.

• Day 3 : Gir to Diu

  Early breakfast at Gir proceed to Diu, enroute visit Somnath Temple, continue to Diu - later visit the old haveli鈥檚 of Diu, St. Francis Church, St.Thomas Church, St. Paul Church, Goghla Beach, rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

  After breakfast drive to Ahmedabad enroute visit Jungadh City for lovely monuments such as Mohabat Makbara, Edicts of Ashoka, Upperkot Fort. Drive to Ahmedabad. Dinner and overnight in Ahmedabad.

  Today early morning enjoy the heritage walk of the old walled city of Ahmedabad - This walking tour offers an opportunity to see the old quarters of Ahmedabad lined with the beautifully carved wooden facades of havelis. Later visit Gandhi Ashram and continue to Airport for onward journey.
