After breakfast, get ready to soak up the beauty and grandeur of Cairo on an exciting Sightseeing Tour. Start the day with an excursion to the Pyramids of Giza with your guide. Located on the edge of the windswept desert, it has been the world's tallest man-made structure for more than 3,500 years. Walk with your guide as he/she narrates the history of pyramids and the mysteries that still surround their construction. Admire the ancient tomb of Pharaoh Khufu, along with the two neighbouring pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Before heading back to the hotel, practice your bargaining skills at the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. Bag a handful of souvenirs, take a whiff of exotic fragrances and spices as you watch local craftsmen perform their skill. After an exciting journey through the historic sites of Egypt, head to railway station for an overnight train journey to Aswan, the next destination of the holiday. The place where desert meets the Nile River, Aswan was once a prosperous marketplace where goods were traded. Enjoy dinner on-board the train and retire for the night.
Enjoy your breakfast and disembark the train at Aswan Railway Station. From the railway station, head to your place of stay and get ready for Aswan sightseeing tour. Start with an excursion to the High Dam, which was constructed between 1960 and 1970 to separate Lake Nasser from the Nile. Up next, make your way to the Philae Temple, dedicated to Goddess Isis. Witness treasures like the Chapel of Isis, Chapel of Osiris and Temple of Horus while strolling through this vast site. Thereafter, head to the Unfinished Obelisk. According to historians, its construction was abandoned due to a crack discovered during the hewing process. If completed, it would have measured 137 feet (42 meters) tall. A UNESCO world heritage site, Abu Simbel is mainly famous for its complex filled with ancient Egyptian sites that are carved out of the mountainside. After spending an exciting day, return to the hotel in Aswan for a relaxing overnight stay.
Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel in Aswan and make your way to the next destination of the holiday - Luxor, home to the ancient city of Thebes. The 238 kilometers long journey would take around 4 hours to cover. Once in Luxor, check-in at the hotel and get ready for Luxor Sightseeing Tour. Start the excursion with a visit to the Karnak temple, an extraordinary temple complex of sanctuaries, kiosks, pylons and obelisks, dedicated to the Theban triad. It is particularly famous for its vast complex and necropolis, which is enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Do visit the Temple of Amun-Ra - one of the world's largest religious complexes, which is known for its hypostyle hall.
Up next, head to the impressive Luxor Temple, which is counted amongst the most beautiful Temples in Egypt. Built around 1400 BC, the temple is popular for its columns, courts and statues. For nearly half a century, this area was the burial ground for important royal figures.
After wandering around the famous sights that lend Luxor Temple its reputation as the 'world's greatest open-air museum', head back to the hotel and spend a comfortable night.
Relish breakfast and head for a full-day excursion to the West Bank. Visit the Valley of the Kings, dramatically located at the base of colossal cliffs. It features magnificent tombs and monuments hewn from the rock. Do visit the three tombs filled with rich treasures to accompany the pharaohs into the afterlife. Continue your tour at the Hatshepsut Temple and admire the colonnaded fa莽ade against the jagged cliff-face. Know the story of Queen Hatshepsut, the famous female ruler of Egypt who used to dress like a man. Admire the intricate hieroglyphic decorations as you wander around the vast courtyard. Before concluding the tour, gaze up at the impressive statues of Colossi Memnon.
After a journey through the famous sights of the west bank, return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and make your way to the airport board a flight for Cairo (flight from Luxor to Cairo is not included). Reach your place of stay in Cairo and after checking in at the hotel, spend the rest of the day at leisure. You could head to some of the nearby markets (suggested activity at your own expense) and treat your taste buds to some delectable local flavours.
Retire to your hotel room later for a relaxing overnight stay.
As your exciting holiday comes to an end, check out from the hotel (*standard check-out time is 11 AM) after breakfast and head to the Cairo International Airport to board a flight for your onward journey. Head home with memories of a lovely holiday in Egypt.
