The Grand Canyon of Oman, As you stand on the edge of this drop, clinging to the barriers, it’s almost impossible to get a sense of perspective and scale, so huge is the drop and so vast are the mountain slopes opposite you. A little further on from here a scruffy mountain village marks the start of the rim walk under the lip of the Grand Canyon.

Driving toward the massive peaks looming ahead, we began to see huge fractures in the landscape which, as we grew near, we realized were even bigger than they appeared from a distance. Part way up the mountain, we stopped at wadi Ghul, to look at the Omani weavings. This mountainous area supports sheep and goats, and wadi Ghul has one of the highest concentrations of weavers you will see . The local people here offered to coffee and dates, the woveget from the sheep’s wool rugs.than drive to Top you will find the people Sells some old fossils and stone.
