Uttarkashi - Uttarkashi is a small and beautiful town, situated between two rivers; Varuna and Ashi, whose water flow into the Bhagirathi from
either side of the town. Elevated, at a height of 1588 meters, this little town is very similar to Kashi and Varanasi, in that it has the same kind of
temples and ghats and likewise, a north or 'uttar' facing river.

• Day 3 : Uttarkashi - Haridwar

  Uttarkashi - Haridwar (300kms/8hr) HT :1158 MTS.
  
  After breakfast drive for Hariwar en-route visit the tehari dam , (The Tehri Dam is the tallest dam in India and one of the tallest in the world.
  It is a multi-purpose rock and earth-fill embankment dam on the Bhagirathi River near Tehri in Uttarakhand It is the primary dam of the
  THDC India Ltd. and the Tehri hydroelectric complex. Phase 1 was completed in 2006, the Tehri Dam withholds a reservoir for irrigation,
  municipal water supply and the generation of 1,000 megawatts (1,300,000 hp) of hydroelectricity. The dam's 1,000 MW pumped-storage
  scheme is currently under construction with expected commissioning in May 2018) after this drive to Rishikesh , (Ram Jhula & Laxman Jhula,
  Gita Mandir).After sightseeing proceed to Haridwar drop at railway station/airport.
