Day 1 : Arrival at Athens - Athens by Night Tour
Arrive at Athens, a magical city. The city with the most glorious history in the world is worshipped by gods and people. The enchanting capital of Greece has always been the birthplace of civilization. It is the city where democracy was born and most of the wise men of ancient times. The most important civilization of ancient world flourished in Athens and relives through superb architectural masterpieces. Upon your arrival at Athens, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Check-in and relax for some time. Later on you will be picked up from your hotel to start your Athens by night tour. Witness the beauty as night falls and the ancient city of Athens is transformed by light and shadow! Join us for Athens by Night, a tour off all that鈥檚 on offer as the Greek capital descends into darkness. Cruise between glowing, proud buildings with a short panoramic drive through the city centre. Drink in and admire the illuminated Acropolis from the slopes of the sacred hill, offering a nighttime photo opportunity that is second to none. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 : Half Day Ancient Corinth
After your morning pick up from your central located hotel, the bus will drive to Corinth via Iera Odos (the Sacred Way). Our first stop will be the Monastery of Daphni, a 11th-century Byzantine monastery listed as an World Heritage site together with Monasteries Hosios Loukas and Nea Moni of Chios. Driving along the coastal road, we reach Corinth canal, which merges the Aegean with the Ionian Sea (short stop for photos of the breathtaking view). Shortly thereafter we reach the ancient town of Corinth, where St. Paul lived and preached for two years (Acts 18:1-18). Visit the ruins of the ancient city where Paul worked with Aquila and Priscilla, see the remains of the first century shops, the Agora where Paul鈥檚 trial by Gallio took place, the Fountain of Peirene, and one of the most outstanding monuments of pre 鈥揜oman period, the temple of Apollo.
Day 3 : Athens to Mykonos
Today morning, check-out from your hotel and you will be transferred to the ferry port to catch your ferry to Mykonos. After just a short ferry, arrive and you will be transferred to one of the island's authentic luxury boutique hotels, or perhaps a luxurious beach resort. Mykonos is rich in history and culture, offering a vacation package with much to see and plenty to learn. You can head off to the main Mykonos Town and stroll through the picturesque white-washed lanes, or visit the famous windmills and churches. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4 : Tinos Island Full Day Tour
After a 45 min boat trip we arrive at the port of Tinos, the gorgeous neighbour of Mykonos, where the bus waits for us. We drive over the big pilgrim avenue to the most famous church of Greece the 鈥淓vangellistria鈥 with its holy icon, which is believed to do wondrous deeds. After these overwhelming impressions, we leave Tinos town and the bus takes us over winding roads past typical villages and picturesque landscapes to the monastery of 鈥淜echrovouni鈥 situated 500 m. high. Here the nun 鈥淧elagia鈥 used to live and here she had the vision to go to Tinos Town and find the holy icon early 19th century. We explore the monastery of the 16th century where 80 nuns live and beside visiting the cell of Pelagia, have the chance to see many pretty points of whitewashed buildings and churches, full of beautiful flowers. Our bus tour continues to the important historic mountain of 鈥淓xobourgo鈥 where the great Venetian castle was situated which in the past was the strongest force of the whole of Greece against the Turkish invaders. Here we have a photo stop. Afterwards we drive to the other side of Exobourgo where the Catholic villages of the island are located. We stop in the old traditional village of 鈥淰olax鈥 which is famous for its basket making. Here we also have the chance for a coffee break before exploring the village and visiting the local basket makers. Our tour continues to the fertile downs of Komi where we pass through the agricultural areas of the island and stop to see the lemon groves before driving over the panorama road with breathtaking views to the sea and the other islands to the fishing village 鈥淧anormos鈥. Our next stop is in the village 鈥淧irgos鈥, the center of the marble arts and of the marble region of the island. We visit the local artists and can see them at their work before exploring the village which is completely made from marble. Further impressive sites are the church Agios Nikolaos and the grave yard at its rear both also full of marble art. At the old and peaceful village square we have time for a coffee break. After Pirgos the bus goes back on the panorama road towards Tinos town and our last stop before that is at the valley of the pigeon houses. We walk through the village of 鈥淭arambados鈥 and can enjoy the beautiful site of the pretty setting of the old Venetian pigeon houses. Afterwards we drive back to Tinos town where we have free time before meeting at the port and returning to Mykonos.
Day 5 : Transfer from Mykonos to Santorini
In the morning, check-out from your hotel and you will be transferred to the Ferry port to take the ferry to Santorini. A short ferry ride will bring you to a land of dramatic red and black sand beaches, whitewashed houses and cobblestone alleyways. You will be transferred to your hotel on arrival. After checking-in, you'll feel inspired by the landscape and compelled to do a little exploring on that first day, so head out and investigate Santorini's local shops and restaurants. We suggest visiting the traditional settlement of Oia, and topping off your day with a dinner in one of the wonderful local tavernas. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6 : Full Day Volcano Cruise
Today morning, you will experience Santorini's unique volcanic origins in the Aegean Sea. You will sail from the south side of Santorini going past the White and Red beaches, the Venetian lighthouse and into the crater where you can visit the Hot Springs. You will then sail to a secluded bay for swimming and snorkeling (at extra cost) in the crystal clear waters. After a satisfying day of sight seeing and swimming indulge in a delicious seafood and steak barbeque served with a variety of appetizers and salads. Return back to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 7 : Departure from Santorini Airport
Today morning check-out from your hotel. You will be transferred to the Airport to catch your onward flight. Tour ends with happy memories.
Day 8 : Arrival at Istanbul
Meet at the airport Transfer to your hotel. You will be given your room key and the rest of the day is yours to explore Istanbul.
Day 9 : Full Day Bosphorus Cruise and Shopping
Pick up at 09:00 am from the hotel and depart for the Istanbul Bosphorus Cruise and Shopping Tour. Visit the SPICE BAZAAR (Egyptian Bazaar) The air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice. BOSPHORUS BY BOAT a traditional excursion by boat along the waterway separating Europe and Asia. The shore is lined with old wooden villas, palaces of marble, fortresses, and small fishing villages. During the excursion you will see the magnificent sights of the following attractions from your boat. See Dolmabahce Palace, and further along, the parks and imperial pavilions of Yildiz Palace. On the coastal edge of this park, is Ciragan Palace, 300 meters of its marble facade faces the shore. At Ortakoy a great variety of artists gather every Sunday to display their work along the street. Ortakoy is a symbol of tolerance with a church, a mosque and a synagogue existing side by side for centuries. RUMELI FORTRESS Built by Mehmet the Conqueror in 1452 prior to the conquest of Istanbul was completed in only four months to control and protect the infamous Bosphorus passage. It is one of the most beautiful works of military architecture anywhere in the world. BEYLERBEYI PALAS (PALACE) The summer residence of Ottoman sultans exists in its original renovated glory featuring original antique furniture and magnificent gardens with the Harem on the Asian side of Istanbul. BOSPHORUS BRIDGE enjoy a unique chance to step from one continent (Asia) to another (Europe) CAMLICA HILL the highest point in Istanbul. At the top of it you can rest and admire the magnificent panorama of Istanbul and the Bosporus from the beautiful gardens, landscaped in traditional Turkish Ottoman style. SHOPPING TOUR (after cruise) Experience the traditional silk weaving skills of Turkish women at the carpet weaving courses provided by The Ministry of National Education. You will get the opportunity to see jewellery, handcrafts center and a modern leatherwear show. Enjoy the experience of shopping whilst gaining the knowledge of the ancient craftsmen, with local escort full of knowledge about how to haggle the streets of Istanbul. The rest of the evening is yours to explore Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 10 : Istanbul City Tour
Pick up in the morning from your hotel for a day tour of old Istanbul city. Visit to TOPKAPI PALACE The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed. Then proceed to SULTANAHMET IMPERIAL MOSQUE Across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. HIPPODROME Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine.
Day 11 : Departure from Istanbul
