Highlights聽鈥� Our聽Ladakh Tour聽is founded on our 15 years of experience with motorcycle expeditions in Ladakh. You can expect new tracks, passes and highlights never before offered on an organized motorcycle tour. This is the first tour to take on Zanskar & extremely high Himalayan passes, This is a challenging tour. Solid riding skills, a sense of adventure and flexibility are a must when taking part in our Himalayan expeditions, which cover around 2000 km and considerable altitude differences. Road conditions vary from freshly paved to rough tracks.
This tour is a mystical 鈥渞iver journey鈥� to wild Zanskar Valley, hidden in the remotest reaches of the Himalayas.
After crossing rocky valleys and passes to the mouth of the Suru River near Kargil, the gateway to Zanskar Valley. Our route takes us up the wild, rugged valley on a steady climb to Penzi La pass (4,400 m) the only road into Zanskar. We鈥檒l be passing enormous glaciers on our way into the valley. We鈥檒l slowly work our way up the rough tracks to our destination in Padum.
After exploring Zanskar, get to know the highlights of the Indus Valley. And last but not least, the ultimate high point 鈥� one that can also be measured in terms of altitude 鈥� the Khardung La, the highest pass in the world, at 5,605 meters!锘�. This is the first tour to take on 14 extremely high Himalayan passes 鈥� we鈥檒l be hitting altitudes of聽over 5,000 meters聽five times and tackling the two highest passes in the world!聽The route covers all of the highlights of the ancient Buddhist Kingdom of Ladakh, as well as the three most beautiful Himalayan lakes in the border region to Tibet 鈥� all at altitudes of more than 4,500 meters. We鈥檒l spend 15 days on the road in Ladakh.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Srinagar explore with houseboat stay..

• Day 2 : Srinagar to Kargil ,200km.聽

  At the start of tour ,we will enjoy the beautiful green valley, and cross Zojila pass (4300m) today we reached kargil ,we covered Dass (world 2nd coldest habitant place) We鈥檒l then descend into Baltistan Valley to the garrison city Kargil, the gateway to Zanskar valley. A hotel at the bazaar (2,600 m) will be our home for the night.

• Day 3 : Kargil to Rangdum, 130 Kms.聽

  We drive for a Rangdum Through the beautiful, wild Suru valley 鈥� We鈥檒l be leaving paved roads behind today, continuing on a dusty track at average speeds of around 20-40 kmph. Ascending to the herdsman鈥檚 village of Parkachik,and reached Rangdum

• Day 4 : Rangdum to Padum, 90Km.聽

  Start to Rangdom in morning Today, we鈥檒l ascend the adventurous track further until we reach Penzi La pass (4,401 m) and visit the tiny Rangdum mountain monastery before descending along a huge glacier at the entrance to Zanskar Valley and reached Padum valley.

• Day 5 : Explore Zanskar valley (Padum)聽

  Today no ride we visit surrounding the Padum the only small town in Zanskar. Only around 1,000 people live here in the summer. In the afternoon, we鈥檒l visit the Karsha monastery, a medieval oasis of peace and an important center of the Buddhist faith. We鈥檒l be spending the night in the best guest house in Zanskar, at an altitude of approx. 3,500
• Day 6 : Padum (Zanskar Valley) to Parkachik, 170 km聽

  Our return trip starts with a longer ride. We鈥檒l be crossing Penzi La pass (4,401 m) and spending another night on a meadow near Parkachik Glacier.
• Day 7 : Parkachik To Lamayuru, 190km聽

  Descending through Suru Valley to Kargil, we鈥檒l come across our first filling station in 550 km! Crossing the Fatu La pass, we鈥檒l reach the Lamayuru monastery, setting up our there at an altitude of around 3,800 meters.

• Day 8 : Lamayuru to Leh, 140km聽

  We鈥檒l have the opportunity to witness the morning meditation in the monastery 鈥� an unforgettable experience. Next, a steep descent to the Indus Valley. Our next track starts at the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. The 40 km along the wild Zanskar river to Chilling, a village of coppersmiths, is one of the most breathtaking motorcycle routes anywhere in the Himalayas! We鈥檒l be reaching Leh 鈥� the end of our motorcycle tour 鈥� in the late afternoon.

• Day 10 : Leh- Khardungla Pass 鈥� Nubra Valley

  50 kms on the road and 2,000 meters ascent to Khardung La pass, the highest motorable road in the world. After a brief stop in the thin mountain air for a photo, we鈥檒l descend quickly into the arid Nubra Valley, which until recently was a restricted military zone due to the nearby Pakistani and Chinese borders. It鈥檚 now a new high point of our Ladakh tours, with breathtaking views, remote oasis villages and rugged river landscapes.

• Day 11 : Explore Nubra Valley

  We have a half-day ride through the broad valley to the hot springs of Panamik, followed by afternoon riding on camels through the sand dunes of Hunder. Dinner is once again in the peaceful garden of the guest house.

• Day 12 : Hunder to Leh (160 kms)

  The summit! It鈥檚 time for the world鈥檚 highest motorable road, the Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft!!). Later, we鈥檒l return to our headquarters in Leh. The afternoon is free to relax or shop, or visit the Shanti Stupa at sunset. Dinner at the best Tibetan place.
• Day 13 : Leh to Tso Morari lake 210 km

  Post Breakfast we ride along with Indus rider till Mahe bridge then Tsomoriri Lake . The Lake is located at 14,000 ft. near a small village of Korzok. On the way we cross Polokangla and Namchick La passes before we reach Korzok Village. Upon arrival we check in at our camp.
• Day 14 : Tso Moriri to Tso Kar lake and Leh 200km ;-

  Post breakfast we check out and drive to Tso-Kar Lake. Cross The biggest and highest Plateau on Earth on, a Stretch of 42 Kms then we reach at Skyangchu Thang (biggest and highest plateau on Earth on Stretch of 42 Kms), Tanglang La Pass (17,585 ft) and Indus Valley. Upon arrival in Leh, check in at Hotel.
