Package Overview

Mukteshwar is a town and tourist destination in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. It sits high in the Kumaon Hills, 51 km from Nainital, and 343 km from Delhi. Mukteshwar gets its name from a 350-year-old temple of Shiva, known as Mukteshwar Dham, situated atop the highest point in the town. Close to it lie the overhanging cliffs, locally known as Chauli-ki-Jali, used for rock climbing and rappelling, with an excellent view of the valleys below. Mukteshwar is the abode of a saint "Shri Mukteshwar Maharaj ji" who lived at the Top Cottage Temple where his Samadhi is.
Nice scenery can be viewed from Chaulli ki Jaali, where rocks jut out from the hill face at a bizarre angle. This is a great place to observe eagles and other feathered scavengers as they swoop down at their prey.The charm of visiting Mukteshwar lies in enjoying nature, listening to air gushing through deodar forests, bird watching, meditation, and seeking peace. The top of the mountain on which Mukteshwar Temple stands offers astonishing and marvellous view of the imposing Himalayan range, Mukteshwar is bounded by fruit orchards and coniferous forests.
The unspoiled beauty of Mukteshwar has a lot to offer. Wake up with the chirping of birds and sun rays kissing the cliffs and enjoy short treks in the woods. Mukteshwar is covered by dense forest and on the other side if offers splendid view of the enchanting valley and the Himalayas. Mukteshwar is rich in scenic beauty, with magnificent views of the Indian Himalayas including India's second-highest peak, Nanda Devi. Because of the hilly topography, agriculture in the area consists chiefly of potato fields and fruit orchards on terraces cut into the hillsides. The nearest airport is at Pantnagar and the nearest railway head is at Kathgodam 65 km from the town, from where vehicular transport is easily available from neighbouring towns of Bhimtal, Bhowali, and Nainital. The beauty of Mukteshwar is unpolluted and unaffected till date. It is believed that lord Shiva killed a demon at this spot and he granted him salvation or mukti.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Pick Up From Delhi Airport/Railway Station Drive To Mukteshwar And Hotel Check-in

  Pick up from Delhi Airport/Railway station and proceed to Mukteshwar. Check in hotel post lunch. Fresh up and in the evening go for some local sightseeing. In the evening come to hotel and have your dinner at the hotel. Only dinner will be served this day.

• Day 2 : Local Sightseeing And Adventrue Activities

  Early morning get up and have your breakfast, now go to for sightseeing and adventures activitites, and enjoy some adventure sports there on their own costs. At post lunch return to the hotel and take short rest here after that go for some more local sightseeing and Return back to the hotel in the evening for a comfortable stay and have your dinner at hotel.

  Get up early morning have your breakfast at the hotel, the entire day is free to explore the valley and its nearby areas. Return back to the hotel in the evening for the comfortable stay and have your dinner at the hotel.
