Day 5 : Leh-Kharzong La (5400m) -Nubra (3050m) 135kms
After Breakfast Drive to Nubra Valley Via Khardungla (highest Motorable Road in the World) Post Lunch We Explore Nubra Valley We Start with Diskyid Monastery Located On a Hilltop from Where One have the Panoramic View of Nubra Valley, this is the Oldest and Largest Monastery in Nubra Valley and Belongs to Gelugpa Sect (founded in the 14th Century By Changsem Sherab Zangpo), Then We Head to Hunder Which is Famous for Its Sand Dunes and for (double-humped) Bactrian Camels. Day 6 : Nubra-Shayok-Pangong Lake (4251m) 155kms
(in July & Aug Sometime Shayok Road Remain Closed Due to Increase of Water in the River)
after Breakfast, We Drive to Next Destination Pangong Lake Via Shayok , the Road Follows the Shayok River, and Climbs Up a Mountain Before Finally Descending Into Shayok Village. The Road Rises to Cross a Glacial Lock and We Discover the Sumptuous Lake Pangong , Border with Tibet . Evening Free At Pangong Lake, Enjoy Changing Colors of Lake Specially During Sunset & Sunrise. Pangong is also the Highest Salt Water Lake in the World Shared By Ladakh and Tibet . O/n Camp
Day 7 : Pangong-Tsaga La-Hanle (4500m) 160kms
Morning walk on the shores of the lake to enjoy this magical place, after breakfast drive to Hanle, by crossing Chushul Village, Tsaga La (15,200 Ft) enjoy the drive upto Hanle. Hanle in changthang region of Ladakh is one of the most beautifully enchanting, calm and soul loosing places in India. Hanle has a lovely monastery offering some great aerial views of whole village that is a home of about 1000 people. Hanle monastery is a 17th century monastery of the Drukpa lineage of the Kagyu sect. Monastery is home to about 60 monks, built under the protange of the king Singey namgyal, it is believed that King Singey Namgyal died here at Hanle while on his return from an expedition Mongols. The views from the top of monastery are just breath taking. Hanle is also house an Indian astronomical observatory which is the world highest observatory in the world at a staggering height of 4500m. Day 8 : Hanle-Tsomoriri Lake (4500m) 158kms
After breakfast leave for Tsomoriri Lake via Mahe bridge, Yaya Tso and Nurpa la, long wonderful drive gives us tremendous opportunities for photography. The beautiful barren landscape are difficult to imagine. We pass through many typical Ladakhi villages. After check-in at Tsomoriri fix camp, visit the small Korzok monastery and spend the evening at the banks of the lake. Tsomoriri Lake (4550M) is one of the most beautiful high altitude lakes, situated in the middle of the elevated valley of Rupshu surrounded by many high peaks. O/N fixed camp or hotel
Day 9 : Tsomorri-Polo Kongka La (4950m)-Tsokar 4500m 70kms
Before Leaving for Tsokar Another Small Walk On the Shore of the Lake to Enjoy this Splendid Place. En Route Visit Nomadic Residential School in Puga. Hot Spring of Puga is Very Famous among the Ladakhi and Believes to Be Cure Many Diseases. in this Valley You Can See Lots Sulphur Mines. Drive to Polokongka La (4950m) and Then Going Down Towards Thukjay Village and Visit the Monastery. in this Valley You Might See Wild Animal like Wild Ass, Blue Ship, Argali, and Marmots Etc. Day 10 : Tsokar-sarchu (4290m) 145kms
After Breakfast You鈥檒l Hit the Plains of Skyangchu Thang (leh Manali Road), the Longest and Highest Plateau in Ladakh Will Reach the Pang. Take a Short Halt Here for Tea Than to Lachung La 4900m Long and Meandering .mountains the Shades of Browns You Didn鈥檛 Know and Land Formations You Didn鈥檛 Think Possible are the Characteristic of this Pass By the Time We Reached Nakee La 5000m. There are About Twenty One Winding Curves Along the Road from Gata Loops, a Series of Hairpin Bends Looping Down. It is a Roller Coaster Ride We Will Never Forget. Day 11 : Sarchu-Paralacha La 鈥揇archa-Keylong (3080m) 114kms
After Breakfast, Proceed to Keylong Capital of Lahaul Spiti Via Baralacha La5000m.take a Short Halt At Suraj Tal Lake for Some Memorable Snaps. We Were Now One State Lower, in Himachal Pradesh. Towards the End We Crossed a Lake Suraj Tal. We Realised We Were Coming Close to Civilisation. Soon We Would See People. We Reach Darcha First Village of Lahaul Spiti. Day 12 : Keylong-rohtang La 鈥搈anali (2050m) 120kms
Today we drive to Manali via Rohtang La 3937m which is one of the favourite destinations among Indian tourist. There are activities for the tourist like, Paragliding, Snow-Scooter riding. It is a gateway to Lahaul and Spiti, Pangi and Leh . This road is also the part of ROUTES DEL鈥橧LMPOSSIBLE French documentary series produced by Tony Comiti Productions. Another 51km to Manali, you will then drive down to reach in Mari, and then to Kothi. Arrive Manali by evening. O/N hotel
