The journey will take you to some wonderful places such as Lord Krishna鈥檚 Dwarka, Mahatma Gandhi鈥檚 Ashram and the Gir National Park to experience the rich ancient and modern heritage. Read the itinerary given below for your kind perusal.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Ahmedabad (Arrival) Sightseeing in Ahmedabad

  After arriving in Ahmedabad, check into the hotel. Afterwards, visit the Gandhi Ashram located next to the banks of the watercourse of Sabarmati. Mahatma Gandhi set out on his Dandi March from this spot in Ahmedabad. It has now been transformed into a museum. Here you can witness the intricate carvings at the Hate Singh Jain Temple and get awe-struck at the grand architecture of the Shrine of Akshardham. Stay for the night in the hotel.

• Day 2 : Ahmedabad to Jamnagar (drive) (330 km/approx. 6 hours) | Sightseeing in Jamnagar

  After morning supper, check out from the lodge and hit the road for Jamnagar. En-route Jamnagar, visit the primeval and magnificently carved steep well. In the evening, you can visit the Bala Hanuman Temple. It is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for the unending chanting of 鈥楽hri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram鈥� by its devotees since 1964. Stay for the night in Jamnagar.

• Day 3 : Jamnagar to Dwarka (drive) (150 km/approx. 3 hours) | Sightseeing in Dwarka

  After having breakfast in the morning, check out from the hotel and head towards Dwarka via road. Later, check into the hotel and retire for the day. Post noon meal, visit the Beyt Dwarka, believed to be the original reigning throne of Lord Krishna. The well-famed 鈥楴ageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple鈥� is abode to one of the 12 Swayambhu Jyotirlingas in the world. Later, visit the Gopi Talav, the lake where Gopis are said to have reunited with Lord Krishna. Then there is this Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to the divine consort of Lord Krishna. Stay overnight at the lodge in Dwarka.
• Day 4 : Dwarka to Somnath (drive) (240 km/approx. 5 hours) | Sightseeing in Porbandar and Somnath

  With the first ray of daybreak, after breakfast, travel to Somnath. En-route Somnath, visit the well-known Kirti Mandir in Porbandar, the Haveli in which Mahatma Gandhi was born. It has been transformed into a museum. Also, visit the Sudama Temple, built to pay tribute to the companionship between Krishna and Sudama. Once in Somnath, visit the shrine of Somnath and Bhalka Tirth Temple, where Lord Krishna is said to have been fortuitously shot in the foot. Stay for the night in Somnath.

• Day 5 : Somnath to Gir (drive) (50 km/approx. 1.5 hours) | Jungle safari

  Post the morning supper, check out from the hotel and move towards Gir. Popular as the only woods reserve in Asia for housing wild Lions, Sasan Gir is a famed destination for sighting Lions. Other animal genus includes the Sambhar, Spotted Deer, Nilgai and the Chausingha (the world鈥檚 only four-horned antelope). Even crocodiles can be sighted in the reservoir and rivers flowing through the sanctuary. In the noon, go for a safari in the National Park. Stay overnight in Gir.
• Day 6 : Gir to Diu (drive) (110 km/approx. 2 hours)

  As the dawn breaks, leave by road for Daman & Diu and spend the day at the beach. Stay for the night in the hotel.
• Day 7 : Diu to Ahmedabad (drive) (415 km/approx. 8 hours) | Depart from Ahmedabad

  After morning supper, hit the road for Ahmedabad, and later continue trip towards the airport.
