Thekkady brings to mind the image of elephants in their orinal exposure, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. In the Periyar forest of Thekkady is one of the best and finest wildlife reserve in India. May be the major place in Kerala of trekking and mountaineering. The altitude of this exquisite place is 900 鈥� 1800 meters above sea level.The plantations of Tea and Coffee in South India are located on the Western Ghats, the eastern part of central Kerala and adjoining parts of Tamil Nadu,Usually an elevation of 4300 to 6200 feet above sea level. This is a unique holiday package covering Munnar,Thekkady and backwaters at Alappuzha in 5 days and 4 nights.Travel/health insurance.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Kochi - Munnar

You are greeted on arrival at Cochin International Airport /Railway station by Halo Backwaters representative and thereafter depart for Munnar (130 kms / 04 hrs) enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. Arrive Munnar and check in at hotel. Evening at Leisure. Overnight at Munnar.
Day 2 : Munnar

Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing in Munnar which includes visit to the flower garden and for an elephant safari, before driving on to the scenic Mattupetty dam, Eco- point and Kundala dam areas. At Kundala dam there is an opportunity to enjoy boating on the lake. Finally we drive through a vegetable growing area to Top station which is situated high in the mountains on the border between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 3 : Munnar - Thekkady

Morning drive to Thekkady covering a distance of 110 kms / 4 hrs through cardamom hills. Check into the resort. After lunch take a boat ride on the lake and the Periyar dam. Boating will take approximate 2 hours and you can also get rare glimpses of wild animals. The forest department offers many programs including periyar tiger trail, nature walk, bamboo rafting, etc. Plantation tourism also is promoted by private agencies, so that the tourists can see and learn the cultivation of various spices of Kerala. Overnight stay at Thekkady.

Day 4 : Thekkady - Alappuzha

After breakfast Check out your resort and drive to Alleppey; also known as Venice of the east by its special geographical features as the place is famous for its vast back water stretches and paddy fields. By 01 pm you can board your houseboat to explore the back waters and its serene beauty. Enjoy the ride; delicious cuisines. Overnight stay at House Boat.

Day 5 : Alappuzha - Kochi

The above cost is for 02 people on twin sharing basis.

A minimum of 02 persons are required.

For the package with transportation, a minimum of 2 people is mandatory

Children above the age of 12 years will be charged the applicable adult rates.

Children above the age of 05 years will be charged the applicable extra bed rates.

In case of an extra person, the third bed is a rollaway bed or cot.

Base category rooms are allotted for the stay, Any requirement / availability of higher category of room would incur extra cost.

The above Rates applicable for today and subject to change at later dates.

All Rates & bookings subject to availability at the time of confirmation.

Rates may vary if there is hike in fuel price/ Tax / Permit

A/c in the houseboat will be working from 09.00 PM to 07.00 AM.

Houseboat will be anchored from 05 00 PM to 0730 AM

Accommodation in A/c rooms in all places except in Munnar and Thekkady where rooms are Non a/c.

All reservations are depending upon the availability of rooms at the time of your final confirmation.

The company is not responsible for the聽 event of any of the above mentioned sightseeing are聽 not becoming available at a particular date caused by factors beyond our control like rail and flight delays, roadblocks, vehicle mal-functions, political disturbances, holidays and maintenance work in the park or museum.

The company will not be held responsible for any damages or sabotage caused to the property of the customer due to riots, armed dacoities, terrorist activity or any other incidents, events, occurrences etc., if for any reason whatsoever his employee or representative is present at the customer's premises during such happening provided that they have no role in such happenings.

The company is not liable to聽 provide the vehicle(s) contracted for in case he is unable to do so on account of mob violence, riots, communal violence, strike, agitation, natural calamities, flooding, inundation, water logging, typhoon, cyclone or other obstructions/disturbances etc. adversely affecting, threatening or obstructing safe passage for the vehicle. In such event the contractor will try to provide transport to the maximum extent possible & the may customer may not insist, pressure or coerce the contractor or his driver on such occasions & reluctance, disinclination or refusal on the part of the driver will not be construed to be misconduct, dereliction, disrespect or deficiency in service on the part of the contractor. The driver's judgement is such cases to be accepted by all parties.
