• Day 1 : Arrive at the Raj Bhoj airport, Bhopal or the railway station. On arrival, you’ll be transferred t

  Sanchi: Set off an excursion to Sanchi, located in the Raisen district. Visit the Great Stupa at Sanchi, which is one of the oldest stone structures in India. The construction of this structure was overseen by Ashoka’s wife, Devi. It is one of the finest examples of Buddhist art in India.

• Day 2 : Enjoy your breakfast and get ready to experience Bhopal at its best. Your experiences for the day:

  Rock shelters of Bhimbetka: An archaeological site, it exhibits the earliest traces of human life on the Indian subcontinent. Located in the South of Bhopal, it is the site of the second oldest cave painting in the world.
  Bhopal sightseeing tour: Visit the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, the Government archaeological museum and the Van Vihar National Park located near the Upper Lake.

  Lal Bagh Palace: One of the most spectacular buildings, it is a fine example of the late Maratha’s westernised style of architecture. The interiors are lavish and grand.

  Hindola Mahal: Or the ‘swinging mahal’ is a large meeting hall or ‘darbar’ in the ancient city of Mandu. It was constructed in the 15th century during the reign of Ghiyas al-din.
  Darya khan’s tomb: Built in 1453, it’s one of the largest tombs. The interiors of this tomb are an example of the Turko-Persian Islamic architecture.
  Jahaz Mahal: Built in the 15th century during the Lodi dynasty, this ship shaped palace was built to provide a transit accommodation to pilgrims from Afghanistan, Iran, Morocco, Iraq and Turkey.
  Dai ka Mahal: Also known as the Nanny’s palace, it was built to house the women who looked after the infants of the Mandu rulers.
