Dhampus Peak climbing (6,012 m.) is one of the non technical and easy trekking peaks lying north –east of Dhaulagiri massif of Annapurna region in Nepal. by virtue of the overwhelming altitude difference between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif Dhampus peak (6,012 m.) is beautifully exposed offering the most spectacular views of some of the towering mountain ranges along with some eight thou sander Annapurna I,II,III and IV, Annapurna south, Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Tilicho Peak tower above the horizon towards the south of Dhampus peak .

We drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara for about 6 hours. From Pokhara we drive to Nayapul from where our actual trek starts heading towards the classic Annapurna round trekking trail. While trekking we pass through the rhododendron blooming from pink to red and pine forest, mountainous landscape, delightful Gurung villages, river valleys, alpine meadows, and visit the famous sunrise and mountain view point of the region offering panoramic views of Annapurna Himalayan range. From Tukuche (6920m), our actual climb starts, which make you, feel high. Normally we climb Dhampus peak from the west ridge, which connects Dhampus Pass (5200m), where we set our high camp and summit the peak. Normally we don't use our climbing tools like ice axe and crampons but it depends up on the weather and snow condition. Best season to summit in this peak is during April to June and September to November.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 :

  Arrival in Kathmandu and met our staff and transfer to hotel.
• Day 2 :

  A free day in Kathmandu.
• Day 3 :

  Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by car or tourist bus.
• Day 4 :

  Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1070m) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1480m.)
• Day 5 :

  Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2800m).
• Day 6 :

  Trek from Ghorepani to Tatopani (1189m) which will take 6hoursof walk and visit hot spring. Enjoy excursion of Poon hill (3200m).
• Day 7 :

  Trek back from Poon hill to Ghasa (2010m).
• Day 8 :

  Trek from Ghasa to Larjung (2550m).
• Day 9 :

  Trek from Larjung to Marpha (2670m).
• Day 10 :

  Trek from Marpha to Yak Kharka (3680m) which takes about 5 hours of continuous walking
• Day 11 :

  Trek to Dhampus Base Camp (5100m).
• Day 12 :

  set up High Camp at 5600 meter.
• Day 13 :

  Summit to Dhampus Peak (6012m) and descend back to Base Camp.
• Day 14 :

  Take a day rest.
• Day 15 :

  Trek to Yak Kharka (3680m) from base camp.
• Day 16 :

  Trek to Marpha (2670m) via same route.
• Day 17 :

  Trek back from Marpha to Jomsom (2710m).
• Day 18 :

  Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara via 35 minutes of scenic mountain flight. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 19 :

  Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara.
• Day 20 :

  Transfer to Airport to return to home.
