Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Cochin

  On arrival, you will meet a representative who willtransfer you to your hotel in Cochin. On reaching, check-in to yourhotel, unpack and relax. You may explore the local markets on MG road orenjoy some local Keralan cuisine (on your own).Later in the evening, return to your hotel and after a warm dinner, rest overnight in your room.
• Day 2 : Cochin - Munnar

  After early breakfast, check-out of the hotel and proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi. Also visit Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue and St. Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets.Later in the afternoon, proceed for Munnar.On the way to Munnar, halt at some good restaurant where lunch will beserved. Check-in to your hotel in the evening, unpack and relax. Spend sometime in the local markets for shopping and enjoy the evening at yourown leisure. Return to your hotel for dinner and a comfortable overnightstay.
• Day 3 : Munnar

  After breakfast at the hotel, take a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Munnar isfamous for its tea plantations. Visit the beautiful serenity of the teaplantations (remains closed on Mondays). Also visit Eravikulam NationalPark and explore its rich flora and fauna.Relish the local foodat a good restaurant. Later in the afternoon, visit Mattupetty Lake andDam. Enjoy the echo phenomenon at the famous Echo Point.Returnto your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your own leisure.Have a warm, hearty dinner and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay inyour room.
• Day 4 : Munnar - Thekkady (110 kilometres in approximately 4 hours)

  After early breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady.On arrival, check-in to your hotel and have lunch (on your own).Inthe afternoon, proceed for a soul soothing boat cruise through thebackwaters near Thekkady. Thekkady is known for its Periyar WildlifeSanctuary. During your cruise, stopover at this fascinating town andobserve the wild animals in their natural habitat.Later in the evening, visit the theatre and enjoy the traditional Kathakali Show (in a non-air-conditioned theatre).Indulgein shopping, take a tour around the Spice Plantations or enjoy anelephant ride (on direct payment basis) in the evening.Return to your hotel in the evening. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel after a hearty dinner .
• Day 5 : Thekkady - Kumarakom

  After an early breakfast, check-out from the hotel at Thekkady. Explore theSpice Plantation (which will last for an hour). Later, you may indulgeinto some spice shopping (on direct payment basis).Drive to Kumarakom and reach there by afternoon.Onarrival, check-in at the hotel, unpack and relax. Later in the evening,go for an evening boat cruise on the backwaters for an hour. Return tothe hotel. You can opt for a traditional Ayurveda massage. Relish a warmdinner and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in your room.
• Day 6 : Kumarakom - Kovalam (via Trivandrum)

  Afterbreakfast, check-out from the hotel at Kumarakom and drive to Kovalam.On reaching Trivandrum, halt for lunch at a good restaurant. Later visitNapier Museum and Zoological Park and walk through the lush green zoofor a memorable experience. (the zoo remains closed on Mondays).Later in the evening, proceed towards Kovalam.On arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel after a hearty dinner.
• Day 7 : Kovalam - Kanyakumari 鈥� Kovalam

  After breakfast, proceed to Kanyakumari (approximately 87 kilometres). VisitKumari Amman Temple, Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Gandhi Mandapam Alsowitness the beautiful statue of Tiruvalluvar and the meeting point ofIndian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. Return to Kovalam byevening.(The non-Hindus are not allowed to enter the temple. Thetemple opens from 0430 hours to 1130 hours in the morning and from 1730hours to 2030 hours in the evening.)Later in the evening, proceed to Kovalam. Return to your hotel and spend time at your own leisure.Enjoy a hearty meal and retire for the night comfortably.
• Day 8 : Departure

  Kovalam - Trivendrum After an early breakfast, check-out from the hotel at Kovalam. Get dropped atthe airport for your return journey .
