Package Overview

The Deccan Odyssey Train is a joint venture between Indian Railways & Tourism Ministry of Maharashtra; with onboard services being managed by Taj Group of Hotels. Everything on the train reflects the ways of Indian Royalty. Each Carriage is named after places of historical significance in Deccan Plateau & Konkan Coast. There are 10 Carriages of 4 Deluxe cabins each; Four Presidential suite in 2 Carriage; Two Dining Cars; One Bar Lounge; Conference car with business centre; and Aryuvedic Spa Car with Mini Gymnasium.

The 7 Nights/8 Days Deccan Odyssey Train Tour was first introduced in 2004 to showcase the best of tourist destinations around Mumbai with Goa, But since 2009 -it is ALSO operating on a Mumbai/Delhi tour circuit under a different branding of "The Indian Maharaja Deccan Odyssey" The interiors of Deccan Odyssey train were totally refurbished in September 2010 Based on the concept of more famous "Palace on Wheels" the travelers visit places of tourist destination in day time & overnight journey on the train in comforts of richly furnished private cabins with attached bathrooms.

There are three different 7 Nights tour circuits being covered by Deccan Odyssey Train.

During Night,the train is travelling from one town to another & in the day time you enjoy pre-paid excursion and sightseeing tours at each tourist destination. From October 2009, the Deccan Odyssey Train is operating on three different 7 Nights train tour circuits.
