Dayara Bugyal trek is made for someone who loves to sit and relax in the lap of nature away from all the worldly distractions. Enjoy the feeling of watching the complete Himalayan range from a snow-covered green garden situated at the elevation of 3,408 meters while sipping on your tea or gorging on that tasty bowl of maggie.

Bugyals are the name given to meadows or green pasture land at higher elevations in the Himalayan region of Uttrakhand. Along with Dayara Bugyal, there are several other Bugyals such as Bedni Bugyal, Tungnath Bugyal, Gorson Bugyal along many others.

The Bugyals get covered with snow during winters and although one can trek through the Dayara any time of the year, the Dayara Bugyal in Winters look much more pleasing and that winter season should be given preference. To be more specific, the best time to visit Dayara Bugyal is in December according to the popular choice.

Dayara Bugyal trekking requires no prior experience and the trek is beginner-friendly. When we combine the Dayara Bugyal trek difficulty level with the amazing scenic view it offers, we are forced to add it to our list of best winter treks in 2019.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Dehradun to Raithal

  We'll be Driving to Raithal via Uttarkashi next.
  Breakfast and Lunch will be provided during the journey.
  The first pit stop will be Raithal village, which will also be the starting point of the trek.

• Day 2 : Raithal to Gui (9980 ft) (5 km, 4-5 hours trek)

  The day will start with a group ice-breaking session and Breakfast will be served.
  Afterward, we'll take an uphill short trek of 5 KM through the Oak Forest in order to reach Gui Campsite.
  On arrival at Gui Campsite, Lunch will be served.
  The lunch will be followed by an acclimatization walk and evening snacks will be served.
  Overnight stay at camps.

• Day 3 : Gui to Dayara Bugyal back to Gui (12000 Ft) ( 7 Km)

  Post breakfast, we'll head out for trekking to Dayara Bugyal at a distance of 3.5 KM's.
  On arrival, we'll have a packed lunch at Dayara viewpoint.
  After sightseeing, we'll descend back to the Gui campsite.
  On arrival at Gui Campsite, we'll have dinner and end the day.

  • Themes Camping
• Day 4 : Trek from Gui to Raithal and drive to Dehradun

  Post breakfast, descend down to Raithal Village from the Gui Campsite (3.5 KM)
  Afterward, we'll head back to Dehradun via Uttarkashi (235 KM), lunch and snacks will be provided on the way.
  We'll reach Dehradun by 9 PM. Afterwhich, we'll end our trip and you can plan your way back home accordingly.

• Trekking Equipment: you will be staying in high quality tents and sleeping bags in all the camps. We provide high altitude sleeping bags which can stand temperatures as low as - 10 deg c. We also provide ropes, micro spikes, gaiters etc. As required.
• Safety Equipment: First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, Stretchers etc. will be available at all campsites to deal with emergencies.
