Darjeeling derives its name from the Tibetan word ‘Dorje’which means a precious stone or the thunderbolt and ‘ling’ meaning place; hence Darjeeling is the land of thunderbolt. The Ghoom Monastery and tiger hills in Darjeeling must be visited at least once.

Gangtok is the capital of the state of Sikkim. The beautiful Enchey Monastery and Rumtek monastery in Gangtok are very popular among tourists.

Tiger Hill - Situated at an altitude of 2590 meters, Tiger Hill is located 11 km from Darjeeling and presents a spectacular view of Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga. It is advised to go to Tiger Hill early in the morning and watch the sun rise over the mountain peaks.



Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park - Established in 1958, this zoo is dedicated to the memory of Padmaja Naidu, the former governor of West Bengal. Among one of the best zoos in the country, this is one of the only zoo which raises wild wolf in captivity.



Darjeeling Ropeway - One of the best ways to experience the panoramic views that Darjeeling is so famous for, is by taking a ride on the ropeway. It's also called the Rangeet Valley Cable Car because of the spectacular view of the valley around the river Little Rangeet.



Tsomgo Lake - The water in this lake has been accumulated from the melting snow on the mountains located nearby. The river Lungtze Chu originates from this lake, which meets Rangpo - chu down its course.



Ganesh Tok - A small temple, is located at a distance of 7 kilometer from Gangtok. Situated next to the television tower on the small hill nestled on Gangtok - Nathula road, the temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesh.



Hanuman Tok - Dedicated to God Hanuman, is one of the most renowned temples located in Sikkim. With a total height of 7,200 ft from the top of this hillock, tourists can enjoy beautiful view of Gangtok town along with the nearby hills.



Tashi Viewpoint (12,400 ft) - Point constructed by the King of Sikkim, Tashi Namgyal, is located at a distance of 4 km from Gangtok. Adorned with a park on its top, this view point is one of the best places in entire Sikkim to enjoy beautiful view of Mount Kanchenjunga.Any meals other than those mentioned above

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Bagdogra - Gangtok

  Arrive Bagdogra drive to Gangtok. On arrival check in to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
• Day 2 : Gangtok

  After breakfast proceed to Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir. Stay overnight at the hotel.
• Day 3 : Gangtok - Lachung

  After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to Lachung. On the way visit Tashi view point, Kabi Longtsok and Seven sister's water fall Singhik view point. Stay overnight at the hotel.
• Day 4 : Lachung- Yumthang

  After breakfast proceed to Yumthang Valley. On the way visit to Hot Spring and Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. Stay overnight at the hotel.

• Day 5 : Gangtok - Darjeeling

  After breakfast proceed to Darjeeling. Upon arrival check in to the hotel stay overnight at the hotel.

  After breakfast proceed to visit Tiger Hill. On way at the Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park.
