Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival Yangon

    Upon arrival, our representative or tour guide will welcome you at Yangon International Airport with a small giveaway. Then transfer to Hotel. Your tour includes Sule Pagoda which is the heart of the downtown and some colonial buildings such as High Court, Ministers' Office and Post office. After that you will visit Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, the fourth largest colossal reclining Buddha in Myanmar. The highlight of today sightseeing will be a visit of great Shwedagon Pagoda which is over 2500 years old and there you can observe the life of being Burmese Buddhists and their beliefs and religious activities on the platform of the pagoda. Finally you can enjoy the sunset sitting in front of the golden stupa which is of 60 Tons of Gold. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

  • Day 2 : Yangon - Bagan (By Flight)

    Breakfast at hotel or take away your breakfast box and transfer to the airport for the flight to Bagan as most of flights from Yangon to Bagan are early flights. Upon arrival Nyaung Oo Airport, you will start your sightseeing with a visit to local Nyaung Oo Market to see the colourful and interesting weighing systems and various kinds of vegetables. Then you tour includes: the Shwezigone Pagoda where you can have a look 37 Nats images in a small hall if your itineray has no visit to Mt. Popa. Later on drive further, passing the thousands of temples and pagodas in the plain of Bagan which is the pride for Myanmars and check in hotel. Today hightlights are: architecture of those temples at that time as it is very famous for its interlocking mortarless birckwork and handicrafts especially lacquareware production. Finally you will have unforgettable and magnificient views to watch sunset from one of the temples in Bagan by climbing up to the top of one temple. Overnight at Hotel in Bagan.

  • Day 3 : Bagan S/S

    After breakfast, visit the Tharabar gate where two Nat Figures stand. Then visit Bu Phaya. After that drive to Lawkananda Pagoda, which sits on the banks of the Ayeyarwaddy River. After lunch, you will still see the Manuha Temple, Nan Phaya Temple of which speciality the sandstone walls with reliefs, the Mya Zedi Temple, of which four languages pillar in Pyu Mon-Burmese and Pali, the Myinkabar Gubyaukgyi Temple, the Dhammayangyi Temple (the largest ), the Sulamuni temple, the Thetbyinnyu temple(the highest) and then you can enjoy a beautiful sunset from one of the temples in Bagan.

  • Day 4 : Bagan - Mt. Popa - Salay - Bagan

    After breakfast, drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano, about 1,520 meters high (about 1 hour). On the way you will visit Palmen licquor and sugar production. Mt. Popa is the center of guardian spirits "Burmese Nats". After 777 steps, you reach the monastery at the summit of the volcano. At Mt. Popa you encounter many monkeys. In the afternoon, drive to SALAY and visit YOKESONE MONASTERY, which is the oldest surviving wooden monastery hall built on 154 teak posts with beautiful wood carvings decorating the outer walls.Continue to PAYATHONZU, a complex of three brick shrines with mural paintings from the Bagan period, and see MAN PAYA - a large lacquer Buddha image, said to date from the 13th century.Return to Bagan through Chauk, where you will see old Burma Oil installations ('nodding donkeys'), and along the banks of the Ayeyarwady River.

  • Day 5 : Bagan - Pakokku - Monywa

    Today travel to Monywa, a fascinating journey through rural Myanmar. Start with a boat trip up the Ayeyarwaddy River enjoying scenes of life on the river as the boat slowly makes its way north. Disembark in Pakokku, a typical mid-size town, and continue by road to Monywa. The scenery varies from farmland to dry, sandy plains and there are plenty of opportunities to stop for photos or to visit small villages.

  • Day 6 : Monywa – Powintaung – Mandalay

    Set off on an adventure this morning, traveling by local open-air jeeps to the famed Po Win Taung caves. Explore this astonishing structure of 947 sandstone caves which are filled with mural paintings and Buddhist statues and continue to Shwe Ba Taung where temples are carved in stony slender cliffs. Then its on to Mandalay, a 3.5 hour drive, stopping en route to visit sites such as Tanboddhay Pagoda and a massive standing Buddha image.

  • Day 7 : Mandalay S/S

    Breakfast at hotel. Fullday Sightseeing in Mandalay which was the last kingdom capital and is the second largest city in Myanmar. You will start your sightseeing with a visit to local Mahagandayone Monastery to learn Buddhist monks lives as that monastery is the largest Buddhist teaching one in Myanmar with over 1000 monks. The monks queue up at around 10:30 a.m for their last meal of the day. Then drive further to see U Bein bridge, the world longest wooden teak bridge constructed in 1849 with about three quarter of a mile with 106 posts. Then a short visit to Gold Leaf making cottage industry. Finally your sightseeing ends with a visit to Mahar Myat Muni Pagoda, the most revered Buddha image castled in bronze. Overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.

  • Day 8 : Mandalay - Mingun - Mandalay

    Breakfast at the hotel. Your excursion starts with a private boat on the Ayeyarwaddy River (about 11 km, 1 hour)which will take you to Mingun. Here you will visit the unfinished Mingun Pagoda, Mingun Bell, which is the largest bell in the country (90 tons) and the second largest intact bell in the world. After that a visit to Mya Thein Tan Pagoda. Then go back to Mandalay and you will have lunch. Later there will be some visits to handmade workshops such as tapestry and wood carvings. One of today hightlight is a visit to Shwenandaw Monastery, which is famous for its exquisite wood carvings. Then follows the Kuthodaw Pagoda, which is known as the largest book in the world as Buddhist scriptures are written on the marble stone slabs. Your evening ends with a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular sunset from Mandalay Hill.

  • Day 9 : Mandalay - Heho - Pindaya

    After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Upon arrival at the airport in Heho, drive to Pindaya (65 km) about 2-3 hours. There you will visit the famous Pindaya Cave where more than 8,000 Buddha statues can be seen in various sizes, made of teak wood, lacquer, marble, alabaster and cement. The cave is located on a limestone ridge overlooking Pindaya. A number of stalagmites can be made with large wooden mallets like a gong to hear nice sound. You'll also have the opportunity to pay a visit to the production of the famous Shan paper and beautiful Burmese umbrellas.

  • Day 10 : Pindaya - Inle Lake

    Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Nyaung Shwe Jetty on the bank of Inle Lake. Take a boat to your hotel on Inle Lake, which is nestled in the countryside of the Shan Mountains and is about 900 m above sea level. On the way stop shortly to see a 150 year old teak monastery oval windows, which is popular in Travel Guide Books as photo motiv. Nearby you will see very old glass mosaics inside a temple. After that, drive to Nyaung Shwe Jetty and transfer to your hotel which is on the lake. You will see the famous "floating gardens" with Inthas, unique one leg rowers and their interesting fishing method on beautiful Inle Lake.

  • Day 11 : Inle - Indein - Inle

    Breakfast at the hotel. Then visit old Indein Pagoda Complex. Then visit to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. Later pay visit to traditional handmade workshops, as Lotus, silk and cotton weaving and silversmith. Then you will meet Kareni Women (Padaung women). A Five-Day Cycle Market days around the Inle Lake will be found in any of the larger towns or villages as coinsidence. This colourful market days offer a good opportunity to meet the hill tribes. At last visit to Ngaphe monastery, which was famous for its jumping cats. (The jumping cats there are unfortunately no longer, but the monastery is 200 years old and built of teak).

  • Day 12 : Inle - Heho - Yangon & Departure

    Breakfast at the hotel. Then transfer to Nyaung Shwe Jetty and continue by car to Heho airport by Morning Flight. From Heho flying to Yangon. Upon Arrival in Yangon, direct transfer to International Airport Terminal for your International Departure.
