Day 1 : Arrive in Cochin
Upon arrival at the Cochin Airport, Our cab will be present to assist you.
Cochin, nestled in the south-west coast of Peninsular India, is known as the Gateway to Kerala. This port city is bounded by the Western Ghats on its east and the Arabian Sea on its west. It serves as the financial and commercial capital of the Indian state of Kerala. The city enthralls travellers with its pristine backwaters, abundant scenic beauty and a plethora of attractions. Some of the major attractions of this place are the Mattancherry Palace, Fort Kochi Beach, Museum of Kerala History and St. Francis Church.
After reaching the hotel in Cochin, check-in and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2 : Drive from Cochin to Munnar
Soon after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed for a drive to the picturesque hill station of Munnar. Situated in the Western Ghats region, it boasts of a picturesque topography adorned by scenic waterfalls, dense evergreen forests and verdant valleys. ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ to the much-famed national park – the Eravikulam National Park and colonial bungalows, this hilly region attracts travelers from all across the country.
Upon arrival in Munnar, check-in at the hotel, relax for a while and spend the rest of the day doing leisure activities.
Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 : Sightseeing in Munnar
Next morning, relish your breakfast and get ready for a sightseeing trip of this beautiful place. First visit the Nyayamakad Waterfalls, located on the way to Rajamalai. These waterfalls offer a great view of sparkling waters falling from a height. Its beautiful surroundings with lush greenery and rolling hills make it an exhilarating tourist hotspot.
Thereafter, behold the spectacular views of Anamudi Peak, which is the highest peak in South India. This peak stands tall at a height of 2695 m and is surrounded with dense forestation.
Next, explore the Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai) that sprawls across 97 sq km. Covered with forests and grasslands, this park houses several species of animals and birds in addition to the endangered species – Nilgiri tahr (mountain goat). Some rare butterflies and beautiful birds can also be seen here, making it a paradise for birdwatchers as well as nature admirers.
Afterwards, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4 : Drive from Munnar to Kumarakom
Soon after breakfast, drive to Kumarakom – a small village nestled in the backdrop of the picturesque Lake Vembanad.
This place is dotted with a number of cottages, resorts, hotels and houseboats. The major highlight of this destination is its bird sanctuary, where you can find a large variety of aviary birds. Set on the banks of the beautiful lake, this sanctuary is a famous haunt for tourists from across the globe. A variety of migratory birds flock this sanctuary every year, including Siberian stork, darter, egret, teal and heron. You may also spot some of the local birds, like owls, kingfishers and cuckoos during your visit.
Upon arrival in Kumarakom, check-in at the hotel and get a good night's sleep.
Day 5 : Drive from Kumarakom to Cochin
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel. Take a drive from Kumarakom to Cochin to board your return flight from the airport.
