Package Overview

Madaba - Dana - Petra - Wadi Rum - Dead Sea.
Extension: Pella/ Um Qays - Jerash - Ajloun - Desert Castles - Amman.
The program has a duration of 8 days, and an possible extension of 4 days. We are also able to make you a tailor-made program, from Aqaba for example: A perfect pitch for your expeditions to the Wadi Rum desert.

Every day there'll be space and time to see or edit pictures. Plus, every stop will be a photo stop during the program.Flights.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Amman - Madaba

  Arrival at the Queen Alia International Airport in Amman. Here our airport representative will wait you to assist you with the visa, luggage and customs. From here you'll drive to the 3* Mariam or Rumman hotel for the overnight stay in Madaba, breakfast included. Madaba is a small town with a cozy city centre which offers nice city walks.
• Day 2 : Madaba - Dana

  In the morning Henk Bos, our photographer, will explain the tour trough Jordan and introduce you to your fellow travelers. This will be followed by a walk through Madaba, including the famous St. George church with is mosaics of the Promised Land. After the walk we drive via the King's Highway to Dana for dinner an overnight stay in the Dana Tower or the Dana hotel, breakfast included. During the drive towards the south you'll have plenty of time for photography.

• Day 3 : Dana- Petra

  After breakfast you can make visit the old village of Dana and surroundings. Optional you can make a hike in the Dana Nature Reserve with a local guide. In the afternoon we'll depart for Petra and condude the day with a photo stop in beautiful Little Petra. The overnight stay will be in Petra in 3* Petra Palace hotel, breakfast included. This hotel has free WIFI access in the lobby and lounge, a swimming pool and is located on walking distance of Petra, the restaurants and the souvenir shops.

• Day 4 : Petra

  Today you'll have a full day to explore the many monuments in the UNESCO and world heritage site Petra. The ticket includes a short ride by horse from the entrance to the Siq. Included is 3 hour guided 'City Tour', to get a good first impression of Petra. After this tour you have the rest of the day to explore Petra. After your visit to the Siq, Treasury, Street of Facades, Theatre and Colonnaded Street you have the possibility to hike your way to the Monastery or the High Place of Sacrifice. It is a lot of climbing, but worth the views! Lunch suggestion inside Petra: Basin Restaurant. We also can however organize lunch boxes for you, so you can enjoy your lunch when and where you want and enjoy the special places in Petra even more.

• Day 5 : Petra - Wadi Rum

  This morning you have time to visit Petra on your own or with guidance from Henk Bos to some special places. It is also possible to make a horse ride with stunning view over Petra, Wadi Araba and Little Petra. Also today we can organize a picnic lunch at a nice viewpoint before we drive towards Wadi Rum. In the (late) afternoon we drive to the Wadi Rum. Feel like T.E. Lawrence in the breathtaking scenery of the Rum. We'll enjoy dinner and spend the night in an authentic Bedouin camp located in the desert, breakfast included. Tonight Henk will teach and explain to you more about photographing the star studded sky.

• Day 6 : Wadi Rum - Dead Sea

  Today we start exploring the Wadi Rum Desert. We do this by jeep to get more views. A 3.5 hour jeep tour is included that optional can be extended. In the afternoon you transfer to the lowest point on earth; the Dead Sea. We drive via Dilagha, a beautiful 'hidden' road that almost nobody knows. This road crosses the Araba Desert, one of the unique places that we love to introduce to you. At the Dead Sea we have an overnight stay in the 4* Dead Sea Spa hotel, Deluxe Room, breakfast included.

• Day 7 : Dead Sea - Wadi Walk - Madaba

  On this day we'll have a workshop and practice with HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography. In the area around the Dead Sea you'll find a lot of wadis. Depending on the wishes of the group a suitable canyon will be selected for today. We'll hike from the lowest point of the wadi up to the mountain which gives the best photography possibilities. This afternoon you'll be spending on the Dead Sea beach, where after you transfer to Madaba for nice inner to end the tour. The dinner will take place in a Old House: Haret Djoudna. Here we can discuss the last details and receive tips from Henk. Overnight stay in the 3* Mariam or Rumman hotel, breakfast included.

  Transfer to airport for departure.
