According to Hindu mythology, the Brahmatal Lake is the place where Lord Brahma meditated many years ago. It is nestling in the depths of Uttarakhand Himalayas. The trek to the Brahmatal Lake takes you on an epic journey through never-ending ridge lines, high altitude lakes, all dense bugyal(meadows), snow covered peaks, and awe-inspiring views. There are many treks which can’t be done in January and February. Brahmatal that way is a classic winter trek for that period. The trek is known for offering the right amount of snow that makes a trek exciting. The views from the summit are even more captivating with majestic views of the mighty Himalayan ranges which provide many such excited as well as adventurous trekking trails, but this is probably the only trekking trail in the country where you could get a front-seat view of Himalayan peaks with Mt. Trishul and Nanda Ghunti, bird’s eye view of the majestic Roopkund Lake and ample opportunities to capture the majestic snow covered peak with their camera which rise above 7,000 meters. Brahmatal Trek is one of the best winter treks in the Himalayas.

Best Time to Visit: Brahmatal Trek is best for all the year to visit. Best seasons include December to March, Expect trekking on the snow in the mid of December. During winters, Brahmatal covered in thick blanket of snow ideal for skiers. Best time in summer to experience Brahmatal includes April to June.

Inclusions

• Accommodation- Full load camping arrangements on the mountain with a large mess tent and tables. Stay from Day 1 to Day 5 (Lohajung to Lohajung). In Lohajung, Stay will be in Guest House/Camp/÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Stay on sharing basis. You will camp on the trek (2 person per tent).
• Meals- All meals during the trek starting from dinner on Day 1 till Breakfast on Day 6. (Simple Nutritious Vegetarian Food) Tea/Coffee/Soups/Snacks will be served throughout.
• Camping charges- All trekking permits and forest camping charges are included (if any).
• Leaders & Guides- Trek leaders assisted by certified and experienced local guides.
• Free Trekking Gears- Shoes, Jacket(-10°C) and Pole.
• Trekking Equipment- High quality tents, sleeping bags, ice axes, roped, micro spikes, gaiters etc. as required.
• Safety Equipment- First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers etc. will be available at all campsites to deal with emergencies.

Exclusions

• Transport to and from the base camp – We arrange shared taxi for trekkers from Kathgodam to Lohajung and drop you back from Lohajung. This will cost approx. Rs. 6,500/- one way per 5-6 seat vehicle. You will have to share this cost with the other trekkers.
• Food during transit to and from the base camp.
• Backpack offloading charges – Rs. 1,000/- for the full trek + 5% GST. The backpack cannot weigh more than 9 kg.
• Suitcases/trolleys/duffel bags will not be allowed. Please note that charges will vary for last minute offloading in case you decide to offload your bag after reaching Lohajung.
• Anything apart from inclusions.

Note

• Transport will be arranged at an additional cost from Kathgodam Railway Station to Lohajung and drop you back from Lohajung. This will cost approx. Rs. 6,500/- one way per 5-6 seat vehicle. You will have to share this cost with the other trekkers.
