Package Overview

Government Service Tax

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Leh

  Arrive Leh by morning flight and transfer to the hotel. After welcome drinks / breakfast at the hotel, take complete rest for acclimatization to the high altitude. In the late afternoon, visit the city centre and walk through the markets for general orientation, followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa, which offers spectacular evening views of the town and the valley. Overnight at the hotel.

• Day 2 : Leh-Khardongla-Nubra Valley

  After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft.), highest motorable pass in the world. The pass offers spectacular views of the Zanskar range across the Indus Valley in the south, and the Saser massif in the north. Reach Deskit / Hunder in the afternoon and check-in at your camp / hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore Hundar and the white Sand Dunes where you can also opt for a short camel Safari on the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment).

• Day 3 : Nubra Valley-Khardongla-Leh

  After breakfast, explore Deskit (headquarters of Nubra valley) and then visit the dramatically located, 15th century Deskit Monastery perched high on a rocky promontory above the village. Thereafter drive back to Leh via Khardongla, reaching in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

• Day 4 : In Leh: Excursion to Pangong Lake

  After early breakfast leave for Pangong Lake via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft./ 5486 meters, 3rd highest motorable pass in the world). Pangong Lake (alt:14,500 ft.), largest brackish water lake of Asia, is 4-5 kms wide and about 135 kms long of which about two-third portion lies on the other side of the Indo-China border. After sightseeing at the lake, drive back to Leh, reaching by the evening.

• Day 5 : Leh-lamayuru-kargil

  After early breakfast proceed towards Kargil en-route visiting Hall of Fame (museum of military heritage) and Magnetic Point drive on towards Kargil, en-route stopping at Lamayuru to view the the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery, and the moonland hills. On way to Kargil, you will be crossing the Fotula & Namika La passes and Mulbek to view the 9-Mtrs. tall rock sculpture of Maitreya Buddha (7th8th century AD) on the roadside. Kargil is at an hours drive from here.
• Day 6 : Kargil-Drass-Zojila-through Sonamarg-Srinagar

  Early departure for Srinagar via Drass, Zojila pass & Sonamarg. Drass is famous as the second coldest inhabited place in the world. Zoji-la Pass (11,500-ft. /3,505 m) is the watershed between the rugged landscape of Ladakh and the lushness of Kashmir. After crossing the pass, the road descends to pass through Sonamarg to reach Srinagar through the beautiful Kashmir countryside. In the evening proceed on Shikara ride in Dal Lake.
• Day 7 : Srinagar-Day trip to Gulmarg

  Day trip to Gulmarg. Return to Srinagar by the evening.
• Day 8 : Srinagar-Local sightseeing

  Full day sightseeing of the famous Mughal Gardens (Nishat / Shalimar / Chashma Shahi) & the over 2000 years old Shankaracharya Temple. Rest of the day free for shopping etc.
• Day 9 : Departure Srinagar

  After breakfast transfer to Srinagar Airport for taking flight back home.
