The Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary has a rich and varied birdlife. Several species of birds, both forest birds as well as the water birds.Athirappilly is popular among tourists. Athirappilly Falls is one of the best places to visit in Kerala. Another popular waterfall to visit is the Vazhachal Falls. Athirappilly Falls is a part of Chalakudy river and it is approximately 80 feet in height. Athirappilly is easily reachable from Chalakudy by taking a vehicle for rent or by bus from the Chalakudy private bus terminal.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Cochin - Athirappilly

  Your Kerala tours starts on arrival at Cochin airport/Railway Station, you will be meeting our representative. Later we transfer you to Athirappilly (75 km/ 2.5 hr). The new bollywood film 'raavan' was filmed at this location. It is also called Indian Niagara falls. Athirappilly Waterfalls is located 78 kms from Kochi (Cochin), located at the entrance to Sholayar ranges, this waterfall is a popular picnic spot. Affording to the onlookers, one of the most bewitching sights, Athirampilly Falls is about 80 feet high and located in the forest area. Combined with the greenery, it infuses freshness into any tired soul. The Athirampilly Falls join the Chalakkudy River after plummeting a drop of 80 feet. A tranquil and much needed escape from the troubles and stress of life. Let the soothing sounds take you to some of natures most relaxing places - the beautiful waterfalls of Athirampilly and Vazhachal (Prounced as vaazhachaal). Overnight stay at hotel.

• Day 2 : Athirappilly - Thattekkad

  After breakfast we checks out hotel and we transfer you to the beauty of Thattekkad. It houses the precious bird sanctuary named after Dr. Salim Ali, the famed ornithologist and attracts rare species of birds from various parts of the world including Asia and Europe. This day is free for local sightseeing Birds lagoon Activities ( optional) Bird Watching, Thattekkadu Bird sanctuary Visit Boating, Trekking, Mountain Biking, Elephant Training Centre Visit, Jeep Safari. Overnight stay in the resort.

  Morning after breakfast, we checks out of hotel and tranfer you back to Cochin airport/Railway Station with everlasting memories of your journey.
