he Annapurna Sanctuary is "high glacial basin lying forty kilometers directly north of Pokhara. This oval-shaped plateau sits at an altitude of over 4000 meters, and is surrounded by a ring of mountains, the Annapurna range, most of which are over 7000 meters. With the only entrance a narrow pass between the peaks of Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare, where run-off from glaciers drain into Modi Khola River, the Sanctuary was not penetrated by outsiders until 1956. Because of high mountains on all sides, the Annapurna Sanctuary receives only 7 hours of sunlight a day at the height of summer. The unique combination of heights and depths in the Annapurna Sanctuary give rise to an extraordinary variety of ecosystems. The south-facing slope are "covered in dense tropical jungles of rhododendron and bamboo", while the north-facing slopes, in the rain shadow, have "a drier colder climate similar to that of the near-by Tibetan Plateau."

The Annapurna, the most popular trekking region, offers the greatest variety of scenery, people, culture, flora and fauna. The Annapurna massif stretching 70 miles along the northern border of Nepal rising to the height of 8091 meters with stunning views makes the trekking highly rewarding.

The Sanctuary denotes its natural serenity, beauty and abode of Hindu Goddesses Annapurna and Gangapurna. The trail leads to Annapurna Base Camp and Machhapuchhare Base Camp passing colorful Gurung villages, terraced fields, dense forest of pine and rhododendron, the world’s deepest river gorge kali Gandaki and ancient trade route to Mustang. For the spectacular panorama a extending to Manaslu in the east and Dhaulagiri to the west including unrivalled views of Machhapuchhare (Fish Tail) Annapurna, Hiunchuli and others, Annapurna sanctuary offers some of the best trekking in Nepal. At the Annapurna Base camp you will be surrounded by a spectacular ring of mountains including Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna III (7555 m), Gangapurna (7454 m) and Machhapuchhare (6997 m). Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Welcome to Kathmandu

  Welcome to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel with hot hot tea or coffee.

  Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by Tourist Bus and transfer to hotel.

  1 hour Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and 6 hours trek to Ulleri and transfer to best available Hotel or Lodge.

• Day 5 : Trek to Ghorepani (2750m/ 9020ft)

  4-5 hours trek from Ulleri we reach to Ghorepani and stay overnight at best available lodge.

• Day 6 : Trek to Poonhill - Tadapani (2700m/8,860ft))

  Early morning trek to Poonhill from sunrise view with fresh air and trek down to Tadapani and stay overnight at best available lodge.

• Day 7 : Trek to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft)

  After 6 hours trek, we reach to the chhomrong viewing natural climate and the local people. Overnight stay in best available lodge.

• Day 8 : Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2580m/8460ft)

  Trekking from chomrong to dovan it takes 6 hours. Overnight stay in best available lodge.

• Day 9 : Trek from Dovan to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft)

  After 4 hours trek from Dovan we reach to Deurali. The fresh air of deurali touches you whole body and gives you exited to fell the feelings of air. Overnight stay in best available Lodge.

• Day 10 : Trek from Deurali to Machhapuchhare Base Camp (3700m/12135ft)

  3-4 hours trek from Deurali, we reach to the Machhapuchhare Base Camp and see panorama view of mountain as well as rest. Due to the high altitude, there should be problem with the high altitude sickness, that's why we don't work a lot but enjoy the view of mountain. Overnight stay in best available lodge.

• Day 11 : Trek from Machhapuchhare Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft)

  After 2-3 hours trek, we reach to Annapurna Base Camp and see panorama view of mountain as well as rest. Due to the high altitude, there should be problem with the high altitude sickness, that's why we don't work a lot but enjoy the view of mountain. Overnight stay in best available lodge.

• Day 12 : Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft)

  Trekking around 6 hours we will reach to the Bamboo. Overnight stay in best available lodge.

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and 2 times tea or coffee
• Day 13 : Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Dada (1760m/5770 ft)

  After 6 hours trek, we will reach to the Jhinu Dada. Overnight stay in best available Lodge.

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and 2 times tea or coffee
• Day 14 : Trek from Jhinu Dada to Naya Pul and drive to Pokhara

  Approximately 6 hours trek from Jhinu dada we reach to Nayapul and after 1 hour drive we will reach to the Pokhara. At evening time in Pokhara, enjoy seeing panoroma views in lakeside and music, dance of local people. Overnight stay in best hotel.
