Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 :

  Gathering of the group at 8.00 in Biysk city, at 9.40 in the airport of Gorno-Altaisk city (we can meet you in the international airport of Novosibirsk on request). We will meet and transfer you to our campsite, located on the Katun river bank, next to Ust-Sema village. This is day of meeting and preparation to your tour. Besides, there are different sights you can see close to the campsite.
• Day 2 :

  We set off for Chuya highway. The first stop will be at Seminsky mountain crossing-the highest one in Gorny Altai. The real Altai starts right onwards. After that, we will go up Chike-Taman mountain crossing. Although it isn鈥檛 as high as Seminsky mountain-crossing, the landscapes, revealed from there are much more impressive. Chuya and Katun鈥檚 confluence. Siberia. It will be a very exciting day. We will see Ininsky stelae 鈥� the place of Chuya and Katun鈥檚 confluence (big rivers of Altai Mountains). A lot of people think it鈥檚 the most beautiful place on Chuya highway, however few people know about its historical significance: there is a stele 芦the place of the first Turkokaganate鈥檚 formation禄. Then there will be an excursion to the ancient sanctuary of Kalbak-tash area. The pictures of an ancient man, who inhabited this part of Siberia thousands of years ago, remain unchanged there. Among these pictures there is a map of the starry arch and water lens, which was used as the first simplest telescope; the calendar, displaying the main light events of the year (the days of solstice etc.); the notion of the ancients about the world order 鈥� the diagram of the world, hell and paradise. This day you will stay in rooms of the campsite, located at the Chuya river.
• Day 3 :

  he program of the day will start with visiting Geyser lake. Its surface is decorated with colorful moving circles. After that, there will be a transfer to Kurai heath and a panorama of the snowy peaks of the North-Chuya range (the most picturesque place, according to our guide). This day you鈥檒l also visit the unique Kyzyl Chin 鈥� colored mountains, which are rightly called Martian because of bright red, yellow and green loam, covering its sides. Than we will leave Chuya highway and go to Ulagan. In the evening you'll see Katu-Yarik mountain crossing. It is a really beautiful place beyond words. This day you'll stay in wooden houses, located in Chulyshman valley, right in front of a waterfall Kara-Su.
• Day 4 :

  In the morning we will cross Chulyshman river. After that we will go trekking to Kur-Kure waterfall (it's about 1 hour one way). After lunch we are going to the Stone Mushrooms (it's about 1 hour and a half one way). Today you'll stay in wooden houses, located in Chulyshman valley.
• Day 5 :

  We are going back to Chuya highway. We will cross Katu-Yarik. And you can enjoy it again (you have to climb 3.5 km to the top of Katu-Yarik mountain-crossing. For safety, the cars have to pass it without passengers). On our way we will visit 鈥淧asyrykskyie barrows鈥� (5 century BC). There are 5 big barrows there. Some findings from these barrows are kept in Hermitage now. This day you will stay in rooms of the campsite, located at the Chuya river.
• Day 6 :

  The most fascinating view will be near rapids Ilgumen. Annual competitions are held there 鈥� Russian rafting championship. Moreover, we will demonstrate an unbelievably beautiful ravine of the river Ursul. The conclusion of our tour will be in Biysk city. The approximate time of arrival is 19.00.
