Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Srinagar Airport Pick Up 鈥� Local Sightseeing

  A meet and greet has been arranged for you at the Srinagar Airport.Your personalised chauffer cum guide will welcome you at your arrival.
  
  Our driver will guide you to the Shikara wala who will enthral you with the mesmerising shikara ride of dal lake. You should definitely ask him to take you to Char Chinar and Kabootar ghar which lie in the centre of Dal lake as a small Island. A trip to Srinagar without visiting Mughal gardens is incomplete.
  
  Mesmerize yourself with the Mughal Gardens of Emperor Shahjahan which include Shalimar Garden, Nishat Garden and Cheshmashahi Garden.Most important visit Tulip Garden (Asia鈥檚 Largest Tulip Garden).
  
  Check in your houseboat for night stay and relax yourself with delicious dinner.

• Day 2 : Srinagar 鈥� Gulmarg 鈥� The Meadow Of Flowers:

  A warm cup of tea with delicious breakfast should get you ready for the day of activity. Leave from your houseboat refreshed and satiated with your
  
  breakfast and move towards Gulmarg. Gulmarg is at a travel distance of 52 Kms from the Srinagar city which is to be covered in an hour. We could halt at Tangmarg for a cup of coffee and relax our muscles. We will check in to the hotel and freshen up for mesmerizing visuals of Gulmarg aptly called as winter paradise. The major locations to be covered are Golf Club, Strawberry Valley, Nageen Valley and Maharaja Palace. It is a shame if we come to Gulmarg and don鈥檛 enjoy the highest cable rope car in the world famously known as Gondola. It can take you up to the height of 16, 000 ft. above sea level and will mesmerise you will the glaciers of Khilanmerg and Afarwat. A word of caution, it is cold there so brace yourself with warm clothes and accessories CNN regarded Gulmarg as 鈥淗eartland of Winter Sports of India鈥漚nd rated it as Asia鈥檚 Seventh Best Ski Destination. Whether in summers or winters, the town is a year-round magnetfor tourists around the world. Several movies have been shot in this beautiful town, like Jab TakHain Jaan, Bobby,
  
  Highway, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Haider, among others .In evening return back to Srinagar for dinner and overnight.

• Day 3 : SRINAGAR 鈥� KARGIL VIA SONMARG (200 Kms, 6 Hrs Drive)

  After early breakfast proceed towards Kargil. Driving through the flat plains of Kashmir via Ganderbal, we arrive at Sonamarg, which is the last major tourist spots on the borders of Kashmir with Ladakh.. Thereafter leaving behind the beautiful meadows of Sonamarg, crossing Baltal 鈥� the base for Amarnath Yatra, we climb up the Zojila pass 3900mtr, which is the main pass dividing Ladakh with Kashmir valley.
  
  Passing by we arrive at Drass which is a small township and also the 2nd coldest inhabited place after Siberia. On your arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Kargil.

• Day 4 : Kargil 鈥� Leh (220Kms, 5 Hrs Drive)

  After breakfast at the hotel, checkout & drive towards leh, enroute visit Lamayuru monastery, one of the most visited tourist attraction in Ladakh region. Continue your drive to Leh, enroute visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam, Spituk Monastery. The Sangam is the place called Nimu where the Zanskar River and Indus rivers merge At Sangam you can enjoy the view of confluence of two river (Indus & Zanskar River).Hall of Fame is a must visit for every patriotic Indian. It has been built by Indian army in memory of soldiers who lost their lives in Kargil war. Gurudwara Patthar Sahib located at a distance of 40 kms from Leh, was constructed in 1571, in memory of Guru Nanak to commemorate his visit to this region. Magnetic Hill is the place where you will see your car, with its engine turned off, move upwards on a steep slope.
  
  It almost sounds unbelievable. . In the evening come back to Leh. Stay Overnight at Leh.

• Day 5 : Nubra valley 135km. Khardong La pass | Hunder Village | Sand Dunes | Camel Ride Point

  Early morning, leave on road to Nubra Valley via Khardongla Pass which is situated at a height of 18380 ft and considered as the highest motorable pass of the world and it is the perfectspot to capture the Mother Nature.
  
  In the afternoon, after having your lunch at some restaurant in Nubra Valley and Check in to your scheduled hotel/camp. Nubra has acquired fame for its sand dunes, the cold desert that surrounds it, Bactrian camels and its breath- taking natural beauty.Bactrian camels are another attraction. Native to the steppes of central Asia,the Bactrian camel has two humps, in contrast to the single-humped camels found in Rajasthan and other parts of India. The Bactrian camels were the main mode of transport when Ladakh was an important stopover on the Ancient trade routes with Central Asia.
  
  Evening enjoy the beauty of sand duneand double hump camel.

• Day 6 : Nubra valley to Pangong Lake Disket Village & Monastery |Maitreya Buddha Statue |: .

  Today after your breakfast you will visit the Disket Monastery.
  
  After that start your day tour of Pangong Lake via Shayok is scheduled for the itinerary.A huge statue of Buddha on top of it, the Diskit monastery is situated in the Nubra valley of Ladakh. Also known as Diskit Gompa, the Buddhist center is one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Leh Ladakh.
  
  The Diskit monastery was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo in the 14th century,and at present stands atop a hill above the plains of Shayok river.
  
  The prime attraction of the Diskit monastery is 100 foot high Maitreya Buddha statue, which was inaugurated by the holy Dalai Lama. From the top of the Gompa, where the divine statue is settled, one can have a panoramic view of the Nubra valley.The Pangong Lake is around 135 kilometers away from Leh and situated at an elevation of 4,400 meters. En route, cross Chang la pass and drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh.In the afternoon, explore the lake and its surroundings. Experience the Hypnotic & Picturesque Beauty of Pangong Tso Lake. Stay Overnight at Pangong.

• Day 7 : Pangong Lake to Leh, changla pass |Thiksay monastery |Shey Palace |Rancho School

  Early morning breakfast, you will drive back to leh via changla Pass.
  
  On the way we can visit: Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace & Rancho School.
  
  Shey Palace 鈥� Shay Palace is situated approx. 15 km south upstream fromLeh and was built 1650. It has the largest Changchup Chorten 鈥� Victory Stupa in Ladakh.
  
  The top of it is made of pure gold. Stupa is a dome shaped building erected as a Buddhist shrine and they are seen all over.
  
  Thiksey Monastery 鈥� One of the main attractions insidethe Thiksey Monastery is the Maitreya Buddha.
  
  The statue is almost two stories tall and is a splendid piece of architecture.
  
  The Chang La pass is a high mountain pass in Ladakh, India. It is claimed to be the third highest motor ableroad in the world. Chang La is approached from Leh via Kharu and Sakti village by an asphalt road. The climb is very steep and requires a careful drive . Later visit Shanti Stupa & Leh Main Market. Dinner & Overnight stay at Leh.
