Darjeeling is a famous tourist destination in North-Eastern India that people visit for a tryst with the untouched beauty of nature. Darjeeling (the queen of hills) the best place to witness beautiful sights of monumental, temples, monasteries etc. as well as a unique way of life.

In our 6 days/7 days ‘Eastern Mystery’, apart from Darjeeling, you will also be taken to another destination like Mirik. Mirik is a picturesque tourist spot nestled in the serene hills of Darjeeling district in West Bengal. Mirik is famous for its man-made Sumendu Lake, Cardamom plantations and Tea Estates.

At Darjeeling all these splendid towns and cities you would go on sightseeing tours of the best attractions including Tiger Hill, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Tenzing Rock, Ropeway, Japanese Temple, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia loop.

Sikkim is one of the most famous tourist destinations in North East India. Its marvelous landscape is dotted with high altitude lakes, rolling green mountains, colorful rhododendron groves, azure rivers, milky waterfalls, beautiful monasteries and unparalleled views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Sikkim, take a stroll through high-altitude lovely lakes, capture the rejuvenating sights of mountains and visit the Buddhist monasteries for a blissful experience.

Sikkim’s capital Gangtok, in town you would go on sightseeing tours of the best attractions including Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery & Banjakhri Falls. We will also ensure that the neighboring locales like Tsongmo Lake and Nathu Pass are also in the itinerary as they make important parts of attractions in Gangtok.

Sightseeing
Darjeeling:

After breakfast start at 8.30 am visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia loop, Tiger hill (8,400 ft.). Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Optional sightseeing with additional cost

Mirik Lake (Included in 3Nts Darjeeling package), Nepal Border & Pasupati Market (Nepal). Rock Garden (04 hrs approx), (04 hrs from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs or 14.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs).

Joy ride by toy train, cost will be Rs. 2100/- Per Person including Service Charge and vehicle halting cost with Hotel – Darjeeling Station – Hotel transfer. Darjeeling Ropeway (Cable Car) remains closed for maintenance operation on 19th of every month.

Gangtok:

Half Day include Banzakhri Falls, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre (Closed on Sunday and 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month), Flower show, Dro-dul Chorten & Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday). (Timing: 09.00 hrs to 13.00 hrs)

Full Day include Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre (Closed on Sunday and 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month), Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Dro-dul Chorten, Gonjang Monastery & Banjakhri Falls. (Maximum 6 hours)

Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir. (Full day trip from 09.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs)

Optional sightseeing with additional cost

03 points include Tashi view point, Ganesh Tak & Hanuman Tak (not covered in any of the Itinerary). Saramsa Garden, Smile Land Amusement Park.

Rumtek Monastery & Ranka Monastery.

Nathula Pass (Indo-China Border) opens only on Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat & Sun (if permit is available). Aritar Lake.

Temi Tea Garden, Samdruptse & Chardham. Gonjang Monastery, Cable Car (Rope way) & Zoo.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Darjeeling (75 kms / 3 hrs)

  Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport & transfer to Darjeeling (6,950 ft.). On arrival Check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

• Day 2 : Darjeeling Sightseeing

  Early morning (4:00 AM) visit Tiger Hill (Subject to availability of Permit / Token) back to hotel. After breakfast start at 8.30 AM visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia loop. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

• Day 3 : Mirik Excursion (49 kms / 2 hrs one way)

  After breakfast full day excursion trip to Mirik Lake (4,902 ft.) via Indo-Nepal Border (Extra vehicle charges will be applicable for Nepal Border to Pasupati Market). Mirik is famous for its man-made Sumendu Lake, Cardamom plantations and Tea Estates. (One can do Boating on direct payment basis in lake).In evening return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

  After breakfast proceeds to picturesque drive to Gangtok (5,500 ft.). On arrival check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

• Day 5 : Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

  After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. Overnight stay at Gangtok. (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing.)
