Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Arusha

  Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha. Meet your guides for a briefing and gear check. Overnight in a hotel in Arusha.

• Day 2 : Arusha to Miriakamba Hut

  Drive from Arusha to Momella Gate. Begin your trek through the lush forest to Miriakamba Hut.
  
  Elevation: 1,500m to 2,514m
  Distance: 10 km
  Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

  • Themes Trekking
• Day 3 : Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut

  Trek through the forest and heather zones to Saddle Hut.
  
  Elevation: 2,514m to 3,570m
  Distance: 8 km
  Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

  • Themes Trekking
• Day 4 : Saddle Hut to Summit, descend to Miriakamba Hut

  Start the summit attempt early in the morning. Reach the summit of Mount Meru, then descend back to Miriakamba Hut.
  
  Elevation: 3,570m to 4,566m (Summit), then down to 2,514m
  Distance: 5 km ascent, 13 km descent
  Hiking Time: 10-12 hours

  • Themes Trekking
• Day 5 : Miriakamba Hut to Arusha, Departure

  Descend from Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate. Transfer back to Arusha for departure.
  
  Elevation: 2,514m to 1,500m
  Distance: 10 km
  Hiking Time: 2-3 hours
