Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Madurai & Explore Madurai

  Arrive in Madurai and check into your hotel. Afterward, you can start your exploration of the city with a visit to the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple, a stunning example of Dravidian architecture. You may also want to visit the Thirumalai Nayak Palace and the Gandhi Memorial Museum. In the evening, attend the evening prayer ceremony at the Meenakshi Temple, which is a spiritually enriching experience.

• Day 2 : Transfer to Rameshwaram

  After breakfast, leave for Rameshwaram, which is approximately a 3-4 hour drive. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and refresh. You can then explore the renowned Rameswaram Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is one of the holiest sites in India. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the famous Ramanathaswamy Temple, with its intricately carved corridors and sacred bathing tanks. You can also visit the Dhanushkodi Beach and the Rameswaram Railway Station.

• Day 3 : Transfer to Kanyakumari

  After breakfast, depart for Kanyakumari, which is approximately a 3-4 hour drive from Rameshwaram. Once you arrive in Kanyakumari, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, which is accessible by a short boat ride and offers spectacular views of the confluence of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean. You can also visit the Thiruvalluvar Statue nearby. In the evening, enjoy the mesmerizing sunset at Kanyakumari, which is famous for its breathtaking views.

• Day 4 : Explore Kanyakumari

  In the morning, visit the Kanyakumari Temple, dedicated to the virgin goddess Kanyakumari, after which the town is named. You can also visit Gandhi Memorial, where a portion of Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes was kept before immersion. Explore the local markets and buy some handmade souvenirs. In the evening, you can take a leisurely walk along the beach or enjoy another beautiful sunset.

• Day 5 : Departure from Trivandrum/Madurai

  After breakfast, you can either leave for Trivandrum (approximately 2 hours away) to catch your flight or train or depart directly from Kanyakumari, depending on your travel preferences. If you have some extra time, you may visit Padmanabhaswamy Temple or other local attractions in Trivandrum before departing.
