Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : NJP RLY STATION / IXB AIRPORT 鈥� GANGTOK (120 KILOMETERS/ 5 HOURS)

  Upon your arrival in New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport, your private guide will pick you up and begin the 5-hour transfer to Gangtok, the modern capital of Sikkim and a cultural hub. On the way to your hotel, enjoy the heart-beating highland view along the Teesta River. After you check-in to your hotel, you have the rest of the day to spend at your leisure. Overnight stay at a hotel in Gangtok.

• Day 2 : EXCURSION TO TSOMGO LAKE & BABA MANDIR

  Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, and then make the 55 kilometers drive to Tsomgo Lake, a high altitude lake of Sikkim. Apart from sightseeing, here you can also indulge in yak riding. Further, you will visit Baba Mandir (13,200 feet). Spend some time at the temples and then return to the hotel in Gangtok for overnight stay and dinner. P.S.: In the case of a landslide, Tsomgo Lake will remain closed, but a visit to the alternate place will be provided.

• Day 3 : Gangtok to Tashi

  Gangtok to Tashi view point drive to Hunuman tok drive to Enchey Monestery back to Gangtok Hotel.
• Day 4 : Gangtok to Puentsholing

  Gangtok to Puentsholing six hour drive, Puentsholing Market sightseeing, night over Puentsholing.
• Day 5 : P/Ling to Thimphu

  The first gift from Bhutan is the cool, clean fresh air as we step out of the plane. After clearing customs and Permit control you will be brief by our guide and transferred to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The drive will take around Five hour. Thimphu has a population of about 100,000. The town is made up of just three lines of shops and is the only capital in the world without traffic lights. In the evening, we will visit the Handicrafts Emporium, where all types of Bhutanese handicrafts are made and sold, overnight at Hotel.
• Day 6 : Thimphu鈥揚unakha.

  The drive to Punakha via sightseeing takes about two hours over the Celela Pass and Yotongla pass. Lunch served at Chendebji Chorten. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
• Day 7 : Punakha 鈥揚aro.

  On the seventh day of 9 Nights 10 Days Bhutan Tour, after breakfast, we visit Punakha Dzong, winter seat of the Je Khenpo and ancient capital of Bhutan and Drive to the Drukgyal Dzong, (a ruined fortress 鈥� 16 km away from Paro town). The dzong, although in ruins, holds great historical significance. It was from this fortress that the Bhutanese repelled many Tibetan invasions. The name means the victorious Bhutanese. This spot offers a magnificent vista of Mount Chomolhari 鈥淢ountain of Goddess鈥� (7,329 m). Visit a typical Bhutanese farmhouse on the way back. A short distance south of the road is Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temple in Bhutan built in 7th century. This temple is said to have been built in 659 by King Songtsen Gampo of Tibet. It holds down the left foot of an ogress whose body is so large that it covers Bhutan and most of eastern Tibet. Also visit Rinpung Dzong. Built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the first temporal ruler of Bhutan, it is now houses of the Paro monastic body and the office of the Dzongda (governor) and Thrimpon (Judge) of Paro district. It is the venue of the Paro Tshechu (festival) held once every year. Then visit Ta Dzong an ancient watch tower. This Dzong was converted into the National Museum in 1968. The museum boasts antique Thangka, textiles, weapons and armour, household objects and rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts. Evening stroll through the main town of Paro. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
• Day 8 : Paro - Hike to Taktsang-P/ling.

  In the second last day of 9 Nights 10 Days Bhutan Tour, early in the morning drive till Satsam Chorten to hike up to the Taktsang monastery (Tiger鈥檚 nest). The hike up to the cafeteria will take around one and half hour. At the view point enjoy the stunning view of monastery, where Guru Padmasambhava landed on the back of a tigeress in the 8th century. After lunch at the caf茅 walk back to the road point where your car will pick you up and then drive to back Hotel . Dinner and overnight at hotel.
• Day 9 : Paro to Puentsholing

  Paro last movement shopping, handicraft and etc, market and drive to Puentsholing via Road sightseeing night over Puentsholing Hotel.
• Day 10 : P/ling 鈥揑XB 鈥� Departure (by Fliht/Train).

  An early breakfast served at your hotel and then drive a short distance to the IXB airport where your Bhutanese escort will bid you farewell at IXB airport as your 9 Nights 10 Days Bhutan Tour terminates today. Good-bye and happy journey back home.
