Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Cochin

  On arrival at Cochin airport, you will be met by representative, who will escort and transfer you to the hotel in Cochin . Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
• Day 2 : Cochin - Periyar

  After breakfast check out from the hotel and depart for Cochin sightseeing - 'The Jewish Synagogue' at the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town, 'The St. Francis Church', the oldest European Church in India, 'The Santa Cruz Basilica' originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese, The Dutch Palace, Spice market at the narrow streets. Later drive towards Periyar. We drive you to Periyar covering a distance of 165 Kms in 05 Hrs. The name Periyar comes after the Dam made here by the English in 1895. A wild life reserve is an ideal place to track down wild life such as Elephants, Bison, Deer and numerous other varieties of birds. The landscape here is with very tropical and you will be surrounded by tea, coffee & other spices. On arrival check into hotel and rest of the day free. Dinner and night stay at the hotel.

• Day 3 : Periyar

  In the early morning after taking breakfast, you will go on a Guided Jungle walk at the Periyar National Park / Periyar Tiger Reserve. This 03 hrs walk (not very hard) is very interesting and gives you the chance to see the wildlife at a very close distance. If you are lucky you may even spot the rarely sighted leopards & tigers. In afternoon leave for a guided plantation tour to the nearby garden where in various species of spices and other aromatic plants are cultivated. The guide explains & clarifies your doubts on this tour and later move for the most popular boat trip at the National Park - the best way to observe game in wild is by boat. There are many animals to see, including herds of elephants, bison's and packs of wild boars that roam through the woods and parade along the shores of the lake just before sunrise and sunset. Overnight at hotel in Periyar.
• Day 4 : Periyar - Kumarakom

  In the morning after breakfast we will drive you to Kumarakom covering a distance of 130 Kms/4 Hrs. On arrival, check-in to the hotel. Freshen up yourself after the long journey. Kumarakom lies at the shores of the enchanting Vembanad Lake. A boat ride in the countryside offers a close look into an engaging rustic life. Skiff-fishermen is launching their cockleshell boats. Large flotillas of ducks are waddling down to the water from thatched houses on the banks. Sections of the curved roof of wood or plaited palm open out to provide shade and allow uninterrupted views. On arrival, check in to hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

• Day 5 : Kumarakom

  The morning is leisure time, enjoy yourself in any activities and in the evening enjoy the sunset cruises. Overnight stay in hotel at Kumarakom.
• Day 6 : Kumarakom - Alleppey

  After breakfast check out of the hotel and drive towards Alleppey - the land of Backwaters. Check out from the hotel around 10.30 am and drive to Alleppey - the land of Backwaters with the Arabian Sea in the west and a vast network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water rivers crisscrossing it, Alleppey is a district of immense natural beauty. Referred to as the 'Venice of the East' this backwater country is also home to diverse animal and bird life. By virtue of its proximity to the sea, the town has always enjoyed a unique place in the maritime history of Kerala. All meals on board. (Overnight on board)
  
  Note : The houseboat cruise will start around 12 noon. You will cruise for some time, and the crew will stop the boat for lunch. You will then cruise again until 6 pm, when it will stop for the night to leave the Backwaters free for the fishermen. Dinner will be served onboard. In the morning, after breakfast, the boat will start again and the cruise will end around 9 am.
  
  The meal by default is always Kerala non-vegetarian. Please let us know in advance if you have any food preference.
• Day 7 : Alleppey To Kollam

  After breakfast check out of the boat. We will drive you to Kollam covering a distance of 185 Kms/4.5 Hrs. On arrival check-in at the hotel and rest of the day free for own activities. (Overnight stay at Kollam)
• Day 8 : Kollam - Day Excursion Visit Amma Ashram

  Early morning Yoga & Meditation classes. Breakfast at hotel Visit Amma ashram in Amritapuri in afternoon Visiting hours ( 13.00Hrs - 17.00Hrs ) .Return back to Hotel. Over night stay at hotel. Amma 's Darshan on Wenesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday. There is no darshan on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
• Day 9 : Kollam - Kovalam

  Early morning Yoga & Meditation classes. Breakfast at hotel.
  
  After breakfast check out of the hotel and drive towards Kovalam. On arrival check in at the hotel and rest of the day free for own activities. (Overnight stay at Kovalam)
• Day 10 : Departure Transfer To Trivandrum Airport

  After breakfast check out of the hotel and drive towards Trivandrum airport for the onward flight.
