Desert lovers should add a night or two in a tented camp. Those interested in natural history might like to see the turtles at Ras Al Jinz. Nizwa has an amazing fort and a fun market, and is definitely worth a day trip. Wahiba sands is a vast mass of undulating red and white sand dunes rising up to 650 feet, and stretching as far as the eye can see. It is also host to a large variety of flora and fauna. Your days in Oman will be full and fantastic.

This morning, join a 4 hour orientation tour of the city of Muscat including the Grand Mosque, one of the most spectacular in the world.
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, board a traditional dhow for a cruise along the scenic coast. Imagining the sailors of yore setting out for Zanzibar on vessels just like yours will fill you with awe and a sense of history.
