Driving 29 kilometers towards the west and away from Mashhad,
passing the beautiful Torghabeh, you can reach a village with a unique architecture. The buildings in this village are interconnected and built inside mountain and passages are the courtyards and roofs of each house connected to one another. Tight streets and plenty of stairs make it impossible for almost any vehicle to get inside. The village of Kang is around 450 years old but its history goes back to the beginning of Islamic period in Iran, more than
1000 years ago. Kang was the place to exile offenders because of its safe situation.

People in Kang live simply. Gardening, Animal husbandry and
Carpentry is their main activities. Walking around the village and with the help of your local guide you will speak with the famous 100-year-old women living in Kang, get familiar with children鈥檚 local plays and lifestyles. In general, experience a unique and spectacular atmosphere which cannot be found anywhere else.
