Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Paro Arrival

  On arrival to Paro international airport our representative will receive you and transfer to Thimphu which is the capital city and the most developed district in Bhutan. The drive will take an hour approximately. After lunch, visit Memorial Chorten which was build by the Queen mother of Bhutan in 1972 in the memory of our Third King H.M Jigme Dorji Wanchuck (Modern father of Bhutan).
  Visit Changangkha Lhakhang which is a 12th century Buddhist temple, visit mini zoo which is the natural habitat of our national animal "Takin", General Post Office which would be a great chance to buy post cards and stamps or even take make their own personal stamps.
  Visit Textile weaving centre at Chamzamtog where there is a good display of various display of Bhutanese fabrics. Weavers will display the the traditional method of weaving Bhutanese farics.
  The day will end at the last stop at Tashi Chhoedzong which is a gigantic fortress located close across a river bank called ‘Wang Chu’. It is also the office of H.M the King. After sightseeing, check in hotel for dinner and over night stay.

• Day 2 : Tango Hike

  After morning breakfast, drive to the northern part of Thimphu valley for 45mins to Tango base for a 1-2 hours hike to Tango Monastery Which is Buddhist temple and also Buddhist school for monks. On reaching the top, there is a beautiful view of Thimphu valley. This monastery is the highest Buddhist learning centre.
  After the hike drive back to Thimphu town for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch sightseeing in Buddha point which would take about 20 mins drive from the main town. On reaching the top, there is a 52 meters statue of the Buddha. The day will end after the visit to the town for a free time. There is an option for the clients to have their dinner either in the hotel or to come in a local restaurant in town. After dinner Overnight in Thimphu.

• Day 3 : Thimphu - Punakha

  After breakfast , drive to Punkha valley which is regarded as the old capital of Bhutan which takes about 2 and half hours via Dochula pass. This pass is at 3150m above sea level and the highest point between Thimphu and Punakha. The pass is been marked up with 108 traditional Bhutanese style stupa also.
  Later drive further down hill to the Punakha/Wangdue valley. On arrival to Punakha lunch will be served, after lunch visit Punakha Dzong which has been built in between the two rivers and it is the most beautiful fortress in Bhutan. It will be an amazing experience for walk to the fortress through the Bhutanese traditional bridge known as MoChu Bazam.
  After the fortress visit in the afternoon, there will be a short walk to Chimi Lhakhnag which is a 14th century temple built in dedication of Lam Drukpa Keunley who was a Tibeten Buddhist saint popularly known as the divine madman. After the visit drive to hotel for check in and dinner. Overnight in Wangdue/Punakha.

• Day 4 : Punakha - Bumthang

  After morning breakfast, Drive to Bumthang via Trongsa which would take about 6-7 hours drive. There will be few stops on the way for tea/ coffee and snacks. Lunch will be served on the way. On arrival to Bumthang, check in hotel.

• Day 5 : Bumthang sightseeing

  Bumthang sightseeing – After morning breakfast the day will begin with a visit to Jakar Dzong (Fortress), Jambay Lhakang Which is one of the oldest Buddhist temple in Bhutan, Kurjey Lhakhang which has a body print of Guru Rinpoche who was a 8th century Buddhist saint who broungt Buddhim to Bhutan.
  After the temple visit, there will be a short walk through the farm houses/farm land from Kurjey towards Tamsing. Visit Tamsing Lhakhang which is another Buddhist temple build by Terton Pema Lingpa (Treasure discoverer).
  After lunch visit of Meber tsho(burning lake)which would be a half an hour drive from the town. After the visit free time in town. Overnight at Bumthang.

• Day 6 : Paseling Monastery hike

  Hike to Paseling Monastery, 4-5 hours hike over the top of Bumthang valley from where we can see the beautiful valley of Bumthang. After the hike drive back to hotel and over night in Bumthang.

• Day 7 : Bumthang - Phobjikha valley

  After breakfast early morning drive from Bumthang to Phubjikha valley. On the way there will be a visit to Trongs Dzong which is considered the longest fortress in Bhutan and it has also played a significant role in Bhutanese history. After the visit, free time around Trongsa town. On arrival to Phobjikha valley, Overnight at Phubjikha.

• Day 8 : Phobjikha - Wangdi

  After breakfast visit Black Crane Centre which would be a great place to know about the the Black nakecrance and free time around the valley. Visit Gangtey Gumba which is a Buddhist monastery Built by the reincarnation of a famous treasure discoverer namely Terton Pema Linpa. After the visit drive directly to Wangdi. Wangdi halt.

• Day 9 : Khensumyalee hike

  Morning visit Khensumyalee Monastery which would be a 1 hours hike and after the hike drive to Paro. On arrival to Paro valley, check in hotel for over night in Paro.

• Day 10 : Taksang Hike

  After breakfast, drive north of Paro valley for 30mins at the base of Taksang for 3 hours hike to Taksang, (Tiger's Nest) the most important monastery in the country. The hike takes about 5-6hours for round trip and visit inside the temple than later hike back down hill for lunch in cafeteria. After the hike visit of Paro Dzong which is another fortress called Rinphung Dzong (Fortress on a heap of jewels).
  Then visit 7th century temple called Kichu lhakhang which is one of the oldest temple in Bhutan. After the temple visit drive to a farm house for dinner and traditional Bhutanese wine (Ara) tasting. There is also an option for a hot stone bath, however this will incur additional cost. After farm house visit drive to hotel for Overnight at Paro.

• Day 11 : Haa day excursion

  After breakfast, 2-3 hours drive to Haa valley for a day Excursion in Haa Valley via Passing Pelela Pass. This pass is one of the highest pass in Bhutan at ALT 3980 meters above sea level. If the weather is clear, we can see the Mt Jumolhari peak from the pass.
  Further drive to Haa and free time around Ha town. On Arrival to Haa, packed lunch will be served. After lunch drive back to Paro for overnight in at Paro.
