Rajasthan is an amalgamation of vibrancy, serenity, colour and heritage. Sand dunes of the golden Thar desert, hills of Aravali range, picturesque lakes, glittering palaces and imposing forts, vivid saris and turbans, busy towns and quiet villages, wild animals, harsh sunlight and cool evenings make this place a travellers’ choice.

The magnificent forts of Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Jaipur bear testimony to the battles that once raged across this desert land, whilst the romantic palaces of Udaipur and Bikaner offer a glimpse of a softer side to the rich history of this part of India. The tour though starts from Delhi, goes first to Mandawa town in the Shekhawati region. This place is remarkable for its colorfully painted havelis (traditional mansions) and is therefore, an ideal place to explore by every culture enthusiast. Travelling west to the desert towns of Bikaner and Jaisalmer we gain insight into the Rajasthani way of life. A highlight of the trip is the camel journey across the shimmering sands of the Thar Desert, visiting temple-ruins and remote villages in the process. Our itinerary takes in the three royal capitals of Rajasthan – Jodhpur, Udaipur and Jaipur – each with its own glittering palaces, temples and impressive forts rising high above the city skyline. There is also a chance to see the magnificent tigers and a plethora of species of wildlife at Ranthambore National Park before travelling to Agra, in Uttar Pradesh, for the magnificent Taj Mahal, calling in at the one-time Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri on the way,and further on to Delhi.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi

  Arrive in Delhi and check into hotel. In the afternoon half-day sight-seeing of New Delhi includes driving past The Presidential Palace, Secretariat Buildings and India Gate on Rajpath. Overnight Hotel.
• Day 2 : Mandawa

  In the morning sight-seeing of Old Delhi visit The Red Fort, Raj Ghat – the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi and Chandni Chowk - the crowded bazar of Old Delhi. Later drive to Mandawa in Shekhawati Region. Overnight Hotel.
• Day 3 : Bikaner

  In the morning in the sightseeing programme in Mandawa visit the famous havelis (mansions). Later drive to Bikaner and visit Junagarh Fort in the afternoon. Overnight Hotel.

  In the morning visit Bikaner’s famous Jain temple, the oldest existing structure in Bikaner and then drive to Jaisalmer. In the evening visit Bada Bagh. Overnight Hotel.

  In the morning visit Sonargarh Fort and the famous havelis in Jaisalmer. In the evening take an excursion to Sam for a camel ride in the sand dunes. Overnight Hotel.
• Day 6 : Jodhpur

  In the morning drive to Jodhpur, the blue city. In the afternoon visit Mehrangarh Fort-one of the most impressive and formidable structures in India and Jaswant Thada- the cluster of royal cenotaphs. Overnight Hotel.

• Day 7 : Udaipur

  In the morning drive to Udaipur, the romantic city; en route visit Ranakpur Jain temple- a temple complex that is one of the important places of Jain pilgrimage. Evening is free to relax. Overnight Hotel.
• Day 8 : Udaipur

  In the sight-seeing programme of Udaipur town, visit City Palace, Jagdish temple and Sahelion-Ki-Bari. In the afternoon enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Overnight Hotel.

• Day 9 : Bundi

  In the morning drive to Bundi; en-route in Chittorgarh visit Chittorgarh Fort - one of the biggest forts in India. In the evening visit Bundi Fort in Bundi. Overnight Hotel.
• Day 10 : Ranthambore

  After breakfast drive to Ranthambore, the place where we would expect to see the tigers. Afternoon and evening are free to explore the area. Overnight Hotel.
• Day 11 : Ranthambore

  Today’s programme includes two game drives into Ranthambore National Park. One in the morning and the other in the afternoon - to look for tigers and other animal and bird species. Overnight Hotel

  After breakfast today drive to Jaipur, the Pink City. Evening is free to explore the colorful bazaar of this capital city of Rajasthan. Overnight Hotel

  Today, in full-day sightseeing programme of Jaipur visit the majestic Amer Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar (the 18th century observatory) and Hawa Mahal. Overnight Hotel

  Today drive to Agra in the morning; en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri – the abandoned palace built by the one of the famous Mughal kings, Emperor Akbar. In the evening visit Agra’s Red Fort. Overnight Hotel
